Based on how the first few sketches are ending... Inserts are the money makers for sure.

Tim: Just curious, and if this is secret sauce stuff feel free to ignore it, but what % do you think you're going to make off your Retro breaks?

it's really too soon to tell both because i still have cases to break and because the market is not done determining prices for a lot of this stuff yet. i can say that my first three cases have been spectacular so far, though, and that is with only two autos sold and a handful of weak sketches listed. i do think it's marvel premier all over again but time will tell.

So far, I've got the inserts I'm interested in relatively cheap. I just won a total of 7 or the regular metal inserts and Impel marketing design cards for a total of $12.99, and it's only that high because I splurged and paid over $5 bucks for Thanos.

I'm mainly a sports guy but do the occasional non-sports. One thing about this product it has seem to catch the attention of sports people.

This is non-sports playing in the sports world where $200 boxes are commonplace. Doesn't hurt that they're using sports insert designs in this set.

Personally I think the cards look gaudy and awful. But if they're selling, who cares?

I'd rather see a property like this done more like Allen & Ginter, I think that could be really fun. Imagine Star Wars done like A&G! Hey Topps, are you listening?

No. Actually they're probably doing blow off of hookers right now and vowing that they'll never do something like that just because it would make their customers happy.

But seriously Topps is almost certainly completely oblivious to the existence of a collecting community let alone recommendations.

I just posted something to their Facebook page about this. Hopefully collectors comment on it.

Yeah I have a direct line to the AD, but it's more telling of the interest to hear it from the masses.

I agree. I love the Allen & Ginter style. I think a Marvel set in that sort of style would be great, but since Rittenhouse and Upper Deck have the licenses it probably won't happen.

Ted: You're a genius. That's a great idea. I love A&G, but I'm not a fan of the Star Wars cards I've seen. That property would work perfectly in a A&G style.

Minis, autographed buybacks, box toppers....

UD has the Goodwin brand, they could do a Marvel set like that. I'd love the base art to be more like the old Marvel Masterpieces with paintings.

Lol, can't argue with a person who admits when they were wrong. I am still shocked that a Rogue PMG Green went for $399. I was going to bust a few of these with the intention of keeping the cards. But golly, if I hit a PMG Green, I might have to part ways with it depending on who it is.

I was a little shocked to see that these green PMGs are selling so well too. I was expecting the Jambalayas to sell better than the greens. thay are really beautiful cards though. I thought I would have a few more offers that I'd have to think about before someone hit the BIN on my Green rogue PMG. Awesome!

Wow--someone just said they sold a green Thor for $700 off eBay.

If this keeps up, wax prices are going to go nuts. It's like Retro Basketball all over again

Do you think an investment on a 6 box case is good? I can get it about 10% above dealer cost.

I don't know as an investment, but might be a good gamble.

I sold my Spidey Jambalaya for $325 off of ebay. I also sold every single one of my PMG's off of ebay. The hardcore buyers aren't wasting anytime - and have no problems dealing directly.

Better to spend more than you'd like now before the boxes/cases become massively overpriced or hard to find (ala premiere).

Seems funny that the least valuable pull are the sketches.
