Here are all of the sketches I did for this set, in case anyone is interested.

I just mailed them off and got them approved last Wednesday.

47 cards will go to Topps, five of these are returns, and I was allowed to keep one blank for commission.

Awesome. Those are excellent. It'd definitely be great to get one in a pack. I especially like the puzzle with the martian holding the skull.

I gotta say, it's very nice to see the sketches coming through displaying so much creativity and imagination.

It's gratifying to see artists utilizing the many great things-- different things-- in the franchise: the damsels in distress, the civilians fighting back, the big robots, giant insects, even the new stuff like the monster men and science Martians.

Thanks, Chris!

No, I just pulled the guy out of my brain.

I was hoping the image wasn't too hard to decipher...one or two people I know couldn't really figure out that he was trying to blend into the group.

But, to be fair, they aren't really the intended audience for these cards, to begin with. lol

We loved this sketch puzzle so much, we've teamed with Mantic Games to print it as a promo card for the NSU show in Allentown this weekend!

Sweet! Any chance of having a promo for the Chicago Non-Sport Card Show on Oct 4/5?

It's hard to get a set list until everyone has turned their sketches in. There will always be one or two who will not get theirs done and one or two who we remove due to low quality.

This week we've received most of the artists sketches, but still some more yet to come in. Hopefully I can have the majority of them finalized by Monday.

As for NYCC, the following will be appearing at our booth:

Jason Chalker
Jason Edmiston
Jason Crosby
Darrin Pepe
Chris Hamer
Ted Dastick, Jr.
Mark Pingitore
Jeff Zapata

Here is an image of the two different. sketch card designs. For the creator sketches, Ed Repka did the most at 50, while most of the others did 15-25. David Palumbo did the fewest, with 8, all drawn during his down time at San Diego Comic-Con!

There were only 100 printed. Artists will be sketching LIVE and we'll give them away every hour. Additionally, some artists not in attendance will be producing some to give away as well. The include:

Chad McCown
Rober Jimenez
Matt Frank
Jeff Miracola
Ed Repka

We'll give them away in a straight raffle-- either with tickets or a "name in a hat" kind of set up. To some this may be a bummer after it was a straight giveaway last year, but with sketch covers we can only do 1-2 an hour, so it would be unfair to ask fans to line up for long stretches, and kill their entire day at the show.

We hope to be able to give away a good chunk of the 100, but remember each artist needs some returns, so at most we'll give away around 75 or so.

We'll also be giving away FREE Mars Attacks costume t-shirts in some manner, possibly in similar raffles or via a coupon printed out from our facebook page.

If fans really go nuts for these sketch covers, there's the possibility of us doing more later as a sellable product for fans to buy blank.

We got Ted Dastick's sketches in. You're all going to be very pleased.

I also scanned samples from about a half dozen others that will be going up in the facebook gallery early next week.

Two words: newspaper comics.

I had this idea myself but wasn't talented enough to execute, and tried to convince a cartoonist friend of mine. I though doing CATHY and FAMILY CIRCUS, for example, would have been hilarious, as well as OPUS and CALVIN AND HOBBES.

Ted only did ONE of these, I believe. But Cathy with her "ACK!" would have been very fun.

I did both Bloom County and Calvin & Hobbes. I totally spaced and forgot Family Circus. I didn't do Cathy because I despise that comic. But I guess it could have been a good way to illustrate my hatred. Ah well, maybe Invasion 2...

I thought this guy was on vacation, running around trying to find some mysterious free transportation cards?

Anyway... Alvin... Any chance you guys will have a couple stacks of GPK promo cards at NYCC since they weren't done in time for the Philly show this weekend?

Yeah yeah totally unrelated to this thread.

With a 3-year-old in tow there's certainly lots of running around, but not so much on the free cards side.

Well, after six weeks of drawing "Mars Attacks Invasion" sketch cards, when I shipped them off, I still had the urge to draw one more MA illustration. But this last one, which I just did for me, was drawn large-sized on a 10 x 15 comic book sized sheet of Bristol board. After I finished, I made a photocopy -- reduced to about 8 1/2 x 11 -- and colored it with alcohol-based markers. This is a scan of that colored photocopy.

I think this just about satisfies my Mars Attacks drawing urge....
