Good point.

Speaking of makeup. There was this girl who does zombie make up, even down to nails and protruding arm bones. I will try to find her work. She posted a couple albums, but simply amazing. I mean if the creators of TWD saw her work, they would hire her on the spot.

Wow... that is tiny compared to last year. See you Friday. Hope you are going to be wearing an 'Alvin' name tag.

It's half the size, but really half the booth last year was display space, and there was a LOT of wasted space behind the counter. This time we moved the counters back to accommodate a tower display and allow fans to walk around it.

See below from last year for a comparison, we just lopped off the left side of the booth (image left) and drew back the counters. That's me in the MA shirt, btw.

Topps booth is great. The artists have been doing a great job with the sketches. Alvin has got something for everybody. If you don't win the raffle, chances are that you'll still walk away with some cards, a sealed pack, a t-shirt or some funky Topps candy. Great job Alvin!

And FYI I think Alvin has been scanning all the covers so they will probably be viewable somewhere.

Not running to the Topps booth every hour, on the hour, has certainly helped my knees In fact, I didn't step on to the exhibitor floor at all yesterday. I will swing by the topps both to say hi to Ted this morning though.

I want one of those Mars Attacks shirts. I haven't found a good one online yet. I probably just need to dig a little deeper.

Really sorry for the lack of updates-- first our editor was out of the office unexpectedly for a few days, then NYCC hit... a perfect convergence of distractions!

Here are the odds from the back of the wrapper:

Gold Parallel 1:12
Heritage Parallel 1:4
Early Encounters Subset 1:8
Anatomy of a Martian Subset 1:12
Masterpieces Subset 1:6
Propaganda Subset 1:6
Propaganda "Graffitti" Parallel 1:192
Printing Plate 1:248
Munchkin Bonus Playing Card 1:111
Sketch Card 1:25
Creator Sketch Card 1:1670
Classic Creator Auto 1:417
Artist Base Card Auto 1:111
Comic Creator Auto 1:1670
WB Movie Auto 1:167
Buyback: 1:1246
Concept Parallel 1:48
"Extra Gore" 1:72
"Extra Gore" Gold Parallel 1:1113
Patch Relics 1:109
Medallion Relics 1:108
Loaded Sketch Packs (2) 1:1055
Loaded Sketch Packs (4) 1:3152

All odds are approximate, and i'm a little peeved they listed the "Extra Gore" and "Graffitti Parallels" which were intended to be unannounced short print variants... :/

Will see about an artist list this week.

I think it's supposed to be 1 per box. Why that came out to 1:25 I don't know.

Because the other long-shot sketches are factored in to make it 1:24 for ANY sketch. 1:25 is specifically for a single regular sketch.

If Topps QC gets this right, this has the potential to be one of the best releases I have seen. And if the patches and medallions have SPs like Galactic Files did, that will be a huge bonus.

I was thinking the same... When you factor in the creator sketches it probably comes out to 1:24.

So... this is the cover I won. I didn't see them all, but I think I got one of the best. No chance this was completed in an hour! I'm looking forward to seeing all of the ones that were done at the show once they are posted.

Thanks! Since I couldn't attent the show, these were mailed to me ahead of time...so...a bit more than an hour was invested!

Glad you like it!

Thanks. We really tried to do right by you guys, especially for such a beloved franchise as Mars Attacks.

Along with the quality of sketches included (much greater than before) this set should really shine. Let's pray for QC

Ahh, that's right. Hadn't realized "Sketch card" was only referring to the single sketches.

Yes, there is the possibility of pulling FOUR different types of sketches: regular sketches, 2-card puzzles (in one pack), 4-card puzzles (in one pack) and creator sketch cards.

I the variety of sketch types is going to make it pretty fun, and a little more special than what you typically see. To some extent, being guaranteed one per box has become somewhat of a routine, but this will hopefully spice things up a bit.

Zerostreet - I won a Crosby, and commissioned a Hamar sketch card (I'll post pics soon). I was drooling over your, and the other covers that were sent in.

Ted - I was stuck on a line for something on Sunday, so I missed you.

Spider-Fan - you're a lucky mofo (Actually anyone who won was)... and the best part of winning was not having to try to get back there every hour to re-enter
