Agreed, and AGREED! Although I wanted to go back every hour just to see the sketched, it is just too crazy on the exhibition floor!

I was at the Topps booth every hour on the hour for almost the entire con and finally on the last raffle for the one in the display case I won this by Matt Frank.

That is a great sketch. I love dinosaurs, and thought that was a very clever sketch. I was wondering who the artist was. Congrats! Glad to see so many went to BO members

While at NYCC, our editor and I got to have a visit with the man himself at his hotel and had him sign 25 copies of these to sell at Comikaze...

Nice score with the MA sketch card, because they're not supposed to do that until 10/25.

happens all the time.

Heck you even see blank cards make it to eBay, not AP's or AR's either.

minor transgression.

Want me to delete the pic for now? I don't want to get anyone in trouble.

Its Hamer's first set, right? Rookie mistake. Don't be too hard on him.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time a the Con. Thanks goes to Adam and the Topps gang for putting this on. I think everyone at the booth - artists and attendees alike - enjoyed it.

The quick, hour-long sketch sessions were the easy part as the most challenging thing was wading through the crowd coming/going to the booth!

In all, I drew six covers. Glad Chris won one of mine as he had talked to me before the show about getting one.

Can't wait to see all the scans!!

AT LONG LAST, YOUR SKETCH ARTIST LIST!

One artist here we removed 75 cards from because they were not up to snuff, and we wanted to keep the quality higher on this one. Said artist is in the "less than 25" pile.

As you can see, most artists did 50 or 100 cards while Jason Crosby, Jason Chalker, Jason Flowers and Mark Finneral (and myself) did some additional cards at the end to make up for the ones we removed for poor quality (and one artist who never did any of the 200 he was contracted for) so they did 100+ (but only Chalker ended up with 200 or more-- I ended up with 80 total, for example, I think Crosby did 150). None of the numbers include returns.

We hoped by keeping most artists at 100 or 50 we could ensure a higher standard. Nothing is ever PERFECT, but we tried damned hard to make this sketch set the best it could be.

One interesting historical note, this series sets the record for most amount of Jasons!

what makes that list so impressive isn't so much who is there (although i don't really mean that as the list is great!), but who ISN'T there, LS notwithstanding. None of the usual $5 rushed pencil artists - great job alvin! I am very pleased to see some of the better sketch artists debuting their MA work for this release!

Thanks for providing an artist list Alvin! And for going above and beyond by indicating which artists did a limited number of sketches. Looking forward for this set to come out, not too much longer now!

Thanks, Tim!

It was not an easy task, either. When you remove 5-10 guys, it becomes hard to replace their quantity. Luckily, we did some scouting and brought in some new talent like Jason's Crosby, Chalker and Flowers, Chris Hamer, Darrin Pepe, El Gato Gomez, Gyula Nemeth, Lyndal Ferguson, Marck Labas and some others. They've even followed over to Star Wars after that!

It was a lot of work, but I think it will show in the finished product.

Katie Cook had 75 cards rejected? Nahhh... Guess that narrows it down to 3.

I am looking forward to seeing sketch singles. *Might* even pick up a box to start a little "Mars Attacks" collection to go with that awesome artwork I won over the weekend.

Anyone headed to Comikaze? I'll be there!

In addition to selling the ltd. edition signed prints, giving out the card, we'll have Mantic's miniatures game on display as well.

I also hear that Artists On Demand will be at our booth sketching!

More news as it develops!

Should be in stores 10/25.

Some missing artists were by design, some by choice (too busy).
