Hi,

Very nice job with this set, well done!

- how many types of medallions and patches are there?

Thanks,
Rich

Thanks, Rich, that means a lot.

On the back of the medallion it says 16. And I think there are the same number of patches, but fewer actual patch designs-- variants make up the rest with different art and color variations.

Just got my case. I just opened a couple of packs and wanted to say I LOVE the card stock and finish you used for the base cards. Very, very nice

Good luck Andrew! I wish I was getting my cases today! I don't think I'll get them until next week though

Thanks--I'll definitely get these up once I'm done. Trying to rip wax and dodge emails at the moment

So far, 2 boxes in I've gotten a Classic Creator auto (Zina Saunders), a plate, and two decent sketches

Just to give you guys an idea on the stock, it reminds me a lot of Marvel Universe.

Good luck Monkey McGee! Sounds like you're off to a good start. My case doesn't come in until Monday, BOO! I was hoping to have some fun this weekend busting my case.

But I'm looking forward to seeing some great case breaks posted tomorrow and over the weekend.

You should be very proud of this series. I can't wait to get mine.

I'm actually a little embarrassed: there's a few minor grammatical and/or spelling errors that i'm mortified to say are my fault, but I suppose QA should have caught them (plus i'm not the best technical writer, but do take pride in being grammatically correct).

Also, inexplicably, card #92 from the blue-backed subset appears right in the middle of the purple-backed subset, completely out of place. Not a big deal, and you'd never notice a problem looking at the fronts, but it was probably mis-numbered on a form somewhere and nobody in QA caught it. Essentially, card #92 should probably have been in the 60's or somewhere.

Although if those are the biggest issues i'll be very happy

I should be getting 2 cases and 2 loose boxes tomorrow.
I'll be trading sketch cards for plates if anyone is interested.
Hope to have my breaks up tomorrow night.

I believe that's actually handled by our plant in Duryea. I will ask the brand manager.

Curious to see how someone who orders so many cases does! Wonder how many sets you'll complete, how many insert sets, medallions, patches, etc. I haven't seen a lot of the stuff myself, so I'm counting on you to post pictures!!!

Am particularly interested in the patches and medallions.

Okay--here's the quick and dirty recap (I'll do proper scans of the sketches and list everything out on a Box Break post).

First of all, the base art is outstanding. I never collect base sets, but I think I'll get a binder for this one because the art is that good.

I'll start off with the sketches. I'll admit that I was expecting to be disappointed with all the hype about the great sketches we've seen from Alvin. While there were a few specific sketches I was hoping against the insane odds I would end up with and I didn't get one of the loaded packs, I'm very happy with what I got. And there's no question the average quality, at least in my case, is miles better than Heritage.

I still need to go back through my stack to see if I missed any SP variations, but here's some of the different versions you can get of a card (from left to right: Heritage, concept, extra gore, base). The concept cards are really cool IMO.

Here are some of the other variations and autos I got:

I'm not a big manufactured patch guy, but these are pretty sweet:

And here are the golds:

It's going to be a very very busy weekend - I have personal (fun) stuff going on too, but I will get scans and reports posted once the dust settles or as best i can. I should be able to at least post results without scans at first.

Digging what I'm seeing there, monkey. The patches look cool, and you even landed a Jason Crosby sketch!

Wish I could afford to buy a set like this as the cards and art look killer. That floating head in MM post is especially nice to me. Jusko is the man.
