Thanks! I guess I picked the right time to be in front of the computer - Picked up the Horley and $75 Cook within minutes of each other.

You stole that Cook! And that Alex Horley is a bargain.

Should I mention it's part of a puzzle? Or will that just frustrate you?

Regardless of how people feel, I felt it would be at best disingenuous not to mention it... he has a right to know. God forbid the other half pops up and he misses is...

...he got the best half anyway...

That's sweet. Think it was mis-labeled as a Hardy painting.

I should've used a mocking/joking face after my first post. It seems if the word 'puzzle' is mentioned, posters go bonkers. Since it's a Horley puzzle, I'd assumed the Blowout forums would explode.

I think we understand the realities of why and Alvin has been very forthright about the situation, but, as you saw with your puzzle where the seller is sort of holding the last piece hostage, it adds a level of frustration if you pull or buy part of a puzzle.

I was lucky with one of the puzzles I had that someone on the board here was willing to let it go for a fair price. I have some concerns about my other two, especially since one of the big breakers isn't someone I buy from.

It would normally drive me nuts but in this case... I'm perfectly at peace with [the best] half LOL. It would be neat to complete, but not necessary

Speaking of Horley you guys have reminded me i wanted to commission a piece from him. Thanks!

I came THIS close to buying the art to one of the cards he did in the set... but having something unique and special is almost better.

Card number 53, 'Twisted Experiments' was printed with the copy matter, front and back, from card number 55, 'Martian Monster Men'. I don't have card 55 in the Heritage subset yet to see if it is correct or if it has the copy from card 53.
I just got the Heritage insert for card 55. Though the artwork is correct, and pictures the Martian monster men oggling a woman, the title on the front and the copy on the back are for card 53, 'Soldiers of Science'.

Bingo! Bonus points for being the first to discover one of several mistakes. More if you can pinpoint which SEVEN CARDS in the base set have the wrong stories on the back...

I bought 6 packs out of an open box from a dealer and got a printing plate and a concept card. I decided to go back and buy the rest of the box and pulled another printing plate. There was no sketch card in the box. What are the general odds on pulling any printing plate?
