Wow, really? So you got two shipments and I never got my one. Awesome.

Default Creator sketch cards

Alvin, did all the creators, (Joe Jusko, Ron Spears, Ed Repka, etc.), do sketch cards? The ones with the green logos. If not who did?

Ed Repka
Tom Kidd
Eric Peterson
James Nelson
Alex Horley
Ralph Horsley
David Palumbo

Jeff Miracola and Dan Brereton-- who did some art in the chase subset-- also did sketches, but "Creator Sketch Cards" were for those who worked on the story.

ALvin,

Did you ever publish a list of all the artist autograph cards (not the creator autos)? Approximately how many of each card did you "stickerize"?

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

Whew… I want to say it was 50 each for the artist parallels, but it may have ended up being 25, i don't remember. Will check on the rest, but I didn't work on that side of things so it'll take some digging.

Alvin, how many sketch cards did each artist do for the creator (green logo) cards?

Thanks. I asked because I've seen a number of Repka and Horsley sketches, but virtually no Peterson, Palumbo, Nelson, and Kidd ones.

I know Palumbo only did less than 10 and Kidd & Peterson had a bunch rejected for using 3rd party characters. Nelson did a batch (less than 50).

Horley is the only one I've seen selling his returns, which certainly helps explain that, while Repka did more than anyone, at 50.

Luck of the draw I guess.

Thought I would share this sneak peak at one of the 6 mantic cards in their game. It's a 6-card subset that, story wise, serves as a mini-sequel to the Invasion set, and are illustrated by Rafael Gallur.

They're printed to match the Invasion set, so they should fit in pretty seamlessly with your collection. Given that they are exclusive to the game-- and kickstarter-- they should be pretty rare.

Default Simon Bisley Card 4 of 5

Greetings,

Three of the five Simon Bisley cards are already pictured in this thread.

Believe I have found the fourth one.

It was unsigned and put up by a UK seller, so I had a real chance

All the Best,

SFM

PS I am always looking to buy quality Mars Attacks sketches ...

So I wouldn't forget to sign the sketch card back, the first thing I did was sign all 106 blanks. The last 20 or so of Mars Attacks: Invasion, I signed them AND printed my name under the signature.

Nice find. I'm actually surprised 4 of his 5 have surfaced. Means a lot of this product is being opened-- maybe that means there's still demand for it?

Based on sales of sketch cards I had ebay 'watches' on, the set still carries some popularity. They sold well out of my price range.

I HOPE boxes/cases are still being opened as I'm missing 3 puzzle pieces that I hope one day will surface.

Its slowed down quite a bit, but new (really new, not relisted) sketches are being listed on ebay pretty regularly. I'm happy to say I've got 3 Jiminez sketch cards to go with my NYCC raffle prize, and another sketch card that I won this weekend and should arrive soon

A slowdown is to be expected-- it has been nearly 8 months since it was released. But new sketches popping up and box prices remaining relatively steady in the aftermarket this much later is a good sign that people still enjoy the product, and continue to open it.

Though I suppose it could be argued that new box breaks are a bad thing? Never quite understood the aftermarket and how to gauge a product far out from release.

Pretty soon I'll have an entire rainbow of Jiminez sketches

Actually, there are still a few artists I would like to add to my collection, which I why I keep any eye on the auctions.

Ehh... I'm with you. I don't see how new box breaks are a bad thing, unless its a sign that the boxes have gotten ridiculously cheap. But its not like there is a big surge, so I don't think that is the case. Its been pretty consistent. I think either people are still chasing SPs to make their master sets, or rip-n-flip dealers are doing well enough to continue buying/breaking.

Oh yes...that's the one. I actually messaged Robert this morning to say I bid on one of his cards, but was outbid.

The auction listing didn't have his name in the title so he didn't know it was listed.

My condolences I really enjoy the monochrome style he used to do these cards. Which must be why I can't help but bid on them.

Despite having drawn almost as many cards as Ed Repka (of which I have seen and missed many), I have never seen a James Nelson Creator Sketch Card ...

What does that mean? That they are still out there? In the boxes? Since there seem to be no more cases?

Alvin, could you eventually post a scan of a Nelson card please?

There is a scan of a Kidd which sold for USD 999 within this thread.
And I have never seen any of the quoted sketch cards anywhere.
How many of the 800 cases were sold on ebay?
Not even half? Where is the other half?
