Very cool - release date?

Will there be a Lincoln cut? Harriet Tubman?

My LCS must have a box available, because we pre-ordered a 10 box case HOW-II right?

Thanks, we were talking at the shop today about what the price of a Civil War box will be, we assumed it was going to be like 1600 Pennsylvania product, 2 cuts and three base, the one cut could be a little scary! In 1600 Penn. Ave, if you got a cut of someone you never heard of usually meant the other one was a really good cut! Only 150 boxes with one per box means there could be a lot of boxes with guys you have to look up just like in Horror of War, and old doesn't necessarily mean valuable. The base cards just aren't bringing in the $$ to recoup the box price on cuts you've never heard of(at my shop 99% of the HOW-II boxes had a $20 base card, $20 military 'relic' and a $20 cut auto, not too good for $225). We'll see once the Civil War cut checklist is finalized(only the art cards and base card checklists are done) to see who's in it.

So does any one know the price yet for these?
And if not what would be the price range?

At the shop we were thinking since there's only one cut, 3 base and an art card, $499?

Hmmm, maybe the 150 cuts are all primo names, maybe there's more than 1 picture version of some bigger names. Instead of 1 Lincoln there could be 3, with a diff. picture of him on it but all 3 are 1/1's like in 1600. With 150 cuts, I'm thinking of less than 10 names worth more than a box. Heck I just won a Jefferson Davis cut for less than $400 from Heritage Auctions. The value of the limited base cards isn't there anymore, my LCS had about 8 auctions of HOW-II base cards end under $29. Good news for me though, I can make a set for about half of what the first HOW set cost me.

Yea at that price it should be a really nice checklist but there was a lot of Ford and Carter in 1600 so you never know. Did Jared Kelley do the art cards for this set? If so that should be a good selling point.

Thanks.. I missinterpreted that there were 40 cards.. But it appears there are 40 of each base card.

Mainly I'm still curious who did the art for them

I would like to know as well. They look very nice, the style is similar to the original Horrors of War set.

Group break idea;

$17 per slot, 75 slots, cut names are randomed among all slots, you get the name, you get the cut. You don't, oh well only $17.

Art card would be randomed the same way and base can be randomed out to entrants.

[And don't bore me with legal group break this and that....you know this one would be fun]
