haha or should i "LOL", with your reaction i'll assume you're an insider too. i may be an outsider just because i'm not an "undergrounder" but i'm familiar enough with GPK to have an opinion. zoop takes it a step further claiming it'll tank just because the undergrounders say so. theres a ton more in the collecting public that will have their own opinion & i'm sure there are some folks over at the underground that will welcome it too. i'm confident its not a hands down 100% shun over there...

No, I was quoting his response in the other thread because I found it so amusing. Other than collecting the original cards as a kid, I'm pretty far from an insider. Sorry for not being clear...

There is one thread in the non-sports hobby talk... this one. I wouldn't consider the group break or the product info to be real threads. If you are into GPK, you should join GPKUG. The Chrome thread over there has 23 pages worth of posts and plenty of them are positive. Don't be turned off by that guy. He sure as hell doesn't speak for that entire site.

People on the GPK underground seem VERY excited about this based on the retail so far.

For those who know GPK, there is also a C version in Chrome.. This is going to drive it even more.

It will seriously make a frenzy for sure if they remain hard to pull.

In the set there are A and B cards then there is the super rare C series.
You just have to look at card number to see the difference and of course character name is different from the other two. They are not guaranteed in a case. I saw two cases opened and only one C series card was present.

Thank you - and it's good they aren't guaranteed one per case - makes them very desirable!

C versions were very random in BNS2 - some breakers hit 4/5 cases others hit 1/5 cases. I did hit a C in my case, which didn't really make up for only hitting 1 sketch and no plates.

Stopped by Target on my way home from work. 4 sealed boxes from Excel Media... No GPK. And Walmarts by me only carry sport and gaming, so there won't be any GPK there EVER. I'll have hobby at my LCS tomorrow but I probably won't have retail until next week!

I'm a little disappointed that the gold refractors are not numbered. Saw a few listed on eBay and they look very nice but it would of been nice to be numbered.

Yeah, Chrome colored refractors without serial numbers is a fail, IMO. If you are going to export the Chrome brand to other properties, you've got to do it correctly.

The Chrome refractors in American Heritage were numbered--why couldn't they do that for a more popular product?

It costs more to produce as they farm that service out and I don't think they were willing to take a chance on it as they wanted retail to be around $70 a box

Wow--4 golds? Maybe that's why they aren't numbered

Anybody have odds for the hobby packs? Or even a scan of the back of one of the packs?
