A good deal of what I pulled from packs had light surface scratches. The Blasted Billy looks perfect to me. I think that a BGS 10 would increase its value considerably. Any opinions? I know everybody is usually opposed to grading non-sports...
Use toothpaste to get the scratches out

I know Adam Bomb is the gold standard (pun intended), but here's a nice Gold Ref sale:

Yeah... I think some people really jumped the gun with the fear of losing money on this one. Yes, Adam is the gold standard and is going to pull a premium over every other character, but... I doubt this would have gotten that high as a 24 hour auction starting release day Since I have a bunch of stuff listed now, I'm glad to see some stuff is pulling a nice price.

Yep... I had a prism refractor of New Wave Dave sell for $29.50 today. Prices are going back up, the nervous money already blew out their stuff cheap and now that supply will start waning, you will see prices rise even more. I refuse to sell any gold less than $44

Really? Some golds are still selling $12-$20. You might be sitting on your cards for awhile.

I don't have scared money like most. I know these will go up. Completists want to make sets and besides Superfractors, golds are the most limited parallel. Once all of those who broke cases in quantities sell through their golds, and the supply dries up you will see them raise in price.

But the demand won't be there.

You could be right about price going up (you could also be wrong) but if you sit on too much of a supply, it will take you a long, long time to move them (if you do). Demand is already waning outside of what looks like a few "chase" like Adam Bomb.

Go with the market, imo, nonsport has been pretty predictable lately (sketch and nonsketch). But to each their own!

Prices are all over the place. One C card went for 190 then the next went for 100, and the 190 was not a big name. I saw a gold go for $8 then another went for $30.

The markets for the rare parallels is funny for GPK. You have the completists that are trying to make a set, but not many of them willing to spend $30+ per card to complete the rare sets. You also have specific character collectors, name collectors, and opportunistic rainbow makers that will shell out a lot but only for a couple of cards. I rainbowed 2 FB characters and kept for my PC, then sold the other gold for $30 over a year after relese. On the other hand, I'm sitting on a BNS2 gold because I refuse to take $15.

Congrats Ty - That is a sweet accomplishment on a very popular character.

Looks like you and I are about the only ones doing these. I picked up another 17 value packs, 4b auto (pretty ironic that the only other auto that I have pulled was 4a) but enough "needs" to make me want to finish another set of atomic refractors.

I'm still buying. REALLY want a Stormy Heather auto, but none have popped up. Also doing the April Showers rainbow. Finished except for the super. Not worried about that one though. I did get one Stormy Heather plate though.

Adam Bomb 2013 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Chrome Prism Refractor Card 8A | eBay

Curious auction... That Adam Bomb prism ended up selling for about double what most BIN listing sold for. I had the same card listed at less at the time of the auction. Not sure if something hinky went on... but it was interesting. I think prices on a lot of the chase cards are going up now that people have quit busting cases of hobby and selling everything at a lost.

I've been watching that all day, checking in every couple hours. I think it's very telling. 24 items offered at huge discounts and only one is even more than 25% sold. No one touching non-sport stuff at 50% off.... wow.

I think these "Black Friday" sales have just turned into product dumps for these places.
