I have this 2003 $1 bill, The front is fairly centered and back is off cut badly. If anyone has any idea of value or how rare this is I would appreciate input. Thanks

Did you check the watermarks? Are you sure it is real?

I had a $20 this week that was that bad on the front, but I can't say I've seen a back (of the dollar) similar to yours?

Wow, nice find! As you have seen by the bidding, it's VERY rare to find a bill like this. Usually bills like this are caught during production and replaced, if you look at the bills in your wallet, occasionally you will see a serial number with a star (*) in the last digit in place of a letter. Those are the bills that replace messed up bills.

But the way the bills are printed, that means an entire sheet was misprinted like yours. I wonder how many of those bills got caught and how many made it out into circulation?

My mother got this one and another as change from a store a few years back, both were serial numbered back to back. When she sent me this one I didnt know she had a second and she told me this morning, the clerk tried to get em back, LOL. There are seven on ebay from 2001 by seller fundspoint, he is asking 13k, but based on my research if it got to 1k it would be amazing. That guy has only sold 1 item in 30 days and has over 200 items listed but he has everything over priced. From my research the value should be between $800-1000 because it has double errors.

I wonder if the clerk was smart enough to check the rest of her drawer for more once your Mom left?

Awesome find! Thanks for sharing.

couldn't someone find a sheet and cut the bills like that? I know I have a few $2 bill sheets, I think they have 8 bills each.

No because the front is centered perfectly, its a printing error not cutting error
