Default What is the opinion on Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy?

What is the opinion on Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy?

As far as case/box buying? I unfortunately have not watched either series, however have an option on buying cases. Does anyone think this is a good buy pre-sale? Thanks

Walking Dead and Breaking Bad are two television shows that I religiously watch. Breaking Bad, in my opinion...is one of the greatest TV shows ever created and many can attest to that as well. It has a riveting storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat...there is just so much important stuff going on. The characters sell the show, without a doubt. Amazing performances all around. While it may not garner the ratings The Walking Dead does...it certainly has a huge fan following. It's easy to digest a story about zombies but a story about meth is a whole different ball bark. So with that being said, I was a fan of The Walking Dead since Day One and everyone knows the value of those cards. I wouldn't question myself for a second with this product. It WILL be a good seller. Collectors, especially fans of the show will be after this product. Just hope it's done right. But those are my personal thoughts.

I think breaking bad will do well. only problem is the show only has 3 episodes left. hopefully the set is released sooner rather than later.

Thanks you two....what are the signers? Are there anyone important that will make the case(s) buy worth the investment on Breaking Bad? Wish I would have watched the show....just so busy working....

Breaking Bad isn't supposed to be released until 'Winter,' well after the show is off the air. . .

So, SOA with "katey sagal" and "charlie hunnam".....this will be the better release? Who is releasing the SOA card product? I can't find any info on CZE or Rittenhouse.

No, you're right, there is nothing related to Breaking Bad on their site. There isn't much info regarding their latest sets, so I guess we'll just have to wait a bit longer before we hear anything...although we are awfully close to "scheduled release dates" for a few.

Based on your comments, I went looking for ratings per episode. I'm surprised that Breaking Bad had about the same numbers as viewers for the longest time as Mad Men and happy to see it's picked up viewers season by season UNLIKE Mad Men.

On that topic, I'm even more disgusted that AMC spent so much money on a show that had a flat viewership for all it's seasons (Mad Men) at the expense (pun intended) of Walking Dead which has so MANY viewers.

Enjoy:

So, none of us know the line up on signers for either show? Wish I could give more input on my end, however I (unfortunately) have not watched either show...

And, that really upsets me that the card manufacturer has no info on their site either.....how the heck are we supposed to know where to put extra funds without any knowledge of the product? lol

Both sets won't come out until next year, so we are still a ways away from Cryptozoic putting anything up on their site about them. They already have pages set up for 8 sets that haven't come out yet, I would think all of those have to come out before either BB or SOA.

In any case, here's the announcement Cryptozoic made back in March on their website about picking up the licenses for both sets:

Thank you. Reason I was asking is my distributor is already asking for orders on:

- The Hobbit
- Once Upon a Time
- Breaking Bad
- Sons of Anarchy
- Fringe Season 5
- Vampire Diaries Season 3

And, I was not sure about half the shows on the list

What distributor is this? GTS hasn't asked me for Breaking Bad or SOA yet (I don't think they've asked for Fringe either).

I don't buy through a distributor, so I don't know how far in advance you have to order. But it definitely seems like he is asking pretty far in advance on a few of those sets. I wonder if he is trying to get you to lock in these sets in order to figure out your allocation of Big Bang Theory and Walking Dead.

That would make some sense, and more than likely is what's going on.

The Pre-order windows close as follows:

Big Bang Theory 9/04
Archer 9/16
Vampire Diaries 9/18
Revenge 10/16
Hobbit 10/23
Downtown Abbey 11/06
Once Upon a Tim 11/06
Walking Dead 11/06

Wow, Did they already sell out of their preorder stock on Breaking Bad already? Seems far too quick...Was really hoping to get a box for that price.

This is kind of random but if all these upcoming releases (Excluding products that are the second series, follow up, etc. For example Big Bang Theory and Walking Dead.) were based on Twitter Followers+ Facebook Likes it would go as following:

1. Sons Of Anarchy (Cryptozoic): 332,126 (Twitter) + 5,846,157 (Facebook)= 6,178283

2. Breaking Bad (Cryptozoic): 556,707 (Twitter) + 5,420,975 (Facebook)= 5,977,692

3. Once Apon a Time (Cryptozoic): 437,602 (Twitter) + 2,994,706 (Facebook)= 3,432,308

4. American Horror Story (Breygent): 197,994 (Twitter) + 3,145,689 (Facebook)= 3,343,683

5. Revenge (Cryptozoic): 335,055 (Twitter) + 2,167,712 (Facebook)= 2,502,767

6. Downton Abbey (Cryptozoic): 260,863 (Twitter) + 1,358,853 (Facebook)= 1,619,716

7. Archer (Cryptozoic): 36,796 (Twitter) + 1,474,006 (Facebook)= 1,510,802

8. Grimm (Breygent): 209,805 (Twitter) + 1,153,617 (Facebook)= 1,363,422

Every show is different and so is every company that makes it. The products value are based on who signs from the show usually. Just if it was based on these numbers clearly Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Once Apon a Time and American Horror Story would be most popular. Now, when you take the most recent Psych (Cryptozoic) cards into factor. They have 187,070 (Twitter) + 2,747,063 (Facebook)= 2,934,133. Pretty good right? But it's done horribly with reselling. So far out of the gate the highest priced cards from it are the price of a single $60.00 box. This is so unpredictable most times as far as what people are going to and not going to like. Will Grimm be a hit because of the potential of not much product being made or will it flop. Who knows? Once again, sorry for the randomness. Back to Sons of Anarchy and Breaking Bad.
