Default UD Marvel Iron Man 2 opinions please

As everyone knows, I PC vintage for the majority. Just something about the new sports card and the industry that I just don't care too much for. With that said, I have been thinking of dabbling in Non-Sports a little bit. I was looking at BO pre-sell and say the Iron Man 2 product. With three hits in a box and them consisting of Sketch, Auto, and Memorabilia/Costume... Well it sounds decent. Opinions anyone?

It looks solid on paper, but being UD and no this isnt a slam on them post. I know with Tale of Despereaux the autos were never there, and that was listed as 1 per if memory serves me.

they could change things up at last second. Also, Iron Man 1 from Rittenhouse basically crashed other then R Downey Jr auto. Even the Tie costume card can be had for $20 and those were 1 in every other case.

It will be fun to break but its def for personal enjoyment only

Me, Im waiting for Dexter Season 3 to hit, Ill probably get Iron Man, seeing I did Master of the First movie. Ink Vault 2 will be fun and seeing your just crossing into Non Sport that will give you a Home town Buffet style taste of everything.

Did you get another MM3?

JLA was a dude, unless you want to gamble on the sketchs. Marvel always out does DC stuff..

Like I told ya on the phone.. Go Potter.. I see your old boss has a ton of boxes listed..

Best thing, like with your vintage. Find a movie or TV show you like and start there.

I didn't even know he did Ebay still. I need better strong arming skills. LOL
The only thing with Potter, is you can never get a good deal on wax. The stuff is just gold. I'm just going to have to find something that interest me a little bit and dive right on in and hope for the best! God that scares the living hell out of me.

on the other hand, out of one box of Iron Man 1, I pulled an auto and a costume card... incredibly enough of the same character (the main islamic bad buy... the one who rebuild the first suit in the cave after Stark escapes)...

I am going to get the Rittenhouse Marvel. I don't know about it as a money maker. If you are able to get a little after release like you said about JLA you should have a chance. I am buying for me and not resale so I am not worried.

Do you have the ability to get deals on some of the older stuff? If you can pick up 95 and 96 MM at a good price you can make a killing and there aren't even sketches in that stuff. Also the 2007 MM is a solid product for resale. The base and parallels are weak but the sketches are good and boxes still go for around $100 (or at least they did recently).

I guess it sounds bad, but at the moment I am looking for a couple decent products with a higher chances of a profit. I've done really well this past 12 months growing my original investment. I have some goals so I am looking at other avenues to get there besides picking up huge collections.

I have the ability to get some older product. I've never asked about it, but I know there is some cases in storage ('94-?? MM). I know that all the 2007 MM is gone and whatever is left (box or two), there is no deal to be made on that. I'll have to ask next time I am there and see what he wants for the older MM.

Like bufbills98 said, pick something you like and know about. That's how I analyzed things and have ended up concentrating on Star Trek boxes. I grew up watching the series and movies. I got lucky so far with a 2009 TOS box that had a very limited Mariette Hartley auto and a 2009 ST Movie box that had a John Cho auto.

I have a case of Women of Star Trek coming from BO and will report back here.

As for the original post, I'm not big on sticker autos and was really hoping Rittenhouse got to do the second Iron Man movie. I'll bet UD uses stickers.

Best to All,
Vinny

The Jeff Bridges auto and the sketches all do really well also.

I personally don't care for this Iron Man set.

I think Women of Star Trek is a good bet to hit some nice autos.

Very true on the Bridges auto and the reason sketchs did well in the first is they didnt flood them in every box. Out of the first 3 cases I opened we saw 2-4 per case.

I don't think I can afford the Iron Man case anymore.
