Default Once Bitten Sketch Card Samples

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to give an update on the set. We had a few issues with the USPS losing a few packages. Also some international art finally arrived after a long wait on shipping. We should be going to press within the next week or so. As soon as I have cards in hand we will set a new release date. I want to make sure I have the cards in hand so as to not postpone the set any longer.

Until then here are some sketch card samples...

Thanks,
Jim

Thanks Jim. A lot of great stuff there, although I'm a little disappointed with the shear number of just faces/busts sketches. Would like to see more full body and multiple character stuff along the lines of what Axebone, Shelton, and Silva have done. Overall, they are done well though.

I'm not familiar with Adam Braun or Daniel Wong, but their preview cards really stood out to me. I love the monotone (maybe incorrect descriptor?) style that Braun used, and the detail in those faces is just outstanding. I'd really like to see a full figure done by Wong. In my imagination, its amazing. And that last Danny Silva, all the way to the right, is just mesmerizing. I literally cannot stop staring. He really killed that card.

I see a couple BO artists did a great job for you... Roy Cover, Frank Kadar, but Amber Shelton in particular. That card on the left, with two vamps, is crazy detailed with all the jewelery and tattoos Above and beyond AP quality! An obvious selection for a preview card.

There are going to be some very happy collectors when they get their packs. Looking forward to seeing the breaks. Good luck everybody who was able to get in on this. I know they sold out pretty quickly.

Hello all... Yes all the art is in and pre production on the set is complete. Going to printer this month. And should have a release date for early January. We want to have everything in hand before we set an actual date so as not to delay the set any longer. We thank you for your patience and hope that you guys are as excited about this set as we are!

Thanks,
Jim

Jim,

Any chance you can update me on the foil card that I won at the Philly Non Sports card show back in September? I haven't received anything or heard from you since you left me a message and I've left a few PM's with my address.

Thanks
Ed

Yes will be in the mail within this coming week. I got so back logged with dealing with the set issues I fell behind on mailings. Apologies.

Also just wanted to take the time and apologize for the delay on the set. I appreciate your patience. We are going to absolutely make this worth the wait.

My God, Jim, the art on these is nothing less than stunning. Well worth the wait. Delays are typical on these sort of sets, but the art on these is a step or two beyond typical!

I'm a bit confused, on Card Talk on October 20th you said "set should be going to print sometime this week, early next week. All the copy prep work is done and the artwork is finally in."

There are more than a few people I know who are really ticked off who aren't posting. I'm certain hearing these still aren't at the printer is going to upset them even more.

Jon there are issues with the printer we are dealing with at the moment. I didn't want to give a definite date as of yet because I don't want to have to push the set back any farther. I don't want to give excuses. Surely I'm sure you can appreciate that. I want the cards in hand before I release a date. Also, if there are others that are upset I am very easy to get a hold of. I will also make it a point to be much more prompt with the updates.

Like I said We are doing our very best to make this set the best it can be and make it worth your time and money.

As a side note, yes I also did learn a valuable lesson doing the pre orders early for the set. That will never happen again. There have been too many factors that contributed to the delay ranging from delayed art, international shipping issues, and now an issue with the foil cards which we are tryng to sort out. As far as any future sets go, both the printed cards and sketch cards will be in hand before the pre sale goes live. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience.

And all foil promo cards and any other promos will ship starting this weekend. I fell behind trying to deal with the set issues. Apologies

Jim

I went with a local printer to see what he could do with the foil inserts and he totally muffed the whole job. Yes I know Karen. I met this printer at a con and he swore he could produce miracles...(facepalm)

Also, if you could please hold off on the AP's the set should be released soon.
