Default Family Guy Season 1 Inkworks..To open or not??

Hey guys, I picked up a sealed box of Inkworks Season 1 Family guy today. I got a great deal at a local comic store. I just don't know if I should dig into this thing or try and sell it on the bay. I know the Seth Macfarlane auto is pretty rare and would be awesome to hit.

Any thoughts?

The McFarlane was a redemption (which is obviously long expired not to mention the fact that Inkworks is now out of business). I'm sure the redemption would have some value but nowhere near as much as the autograph. I would probably sell the box but good luck either way.

Unfortunately, it looks like the McFarlane auto was a redemption. Here's a link to the House of Checklists which shows the autographs (including which ones were redemptions) and sketch card artists:

Family Guy - Season One

The good news is that there are only 14 artists, and NAR! is one of them. His full color sketches from this set are pretty amazing. Of course about half his sketches are quick pencil sketches, half are inked, and less than 5% are full color. Here's a link to the Inkworks website, where ALL of the sketch cards from all of the artists have been scanned:

Good luck if you decide to open the box!

Interesting.. i just picked up a box today. I cracked it open. The sketches still have some value and I was really hoping to get a sketch from Greg Colton, which woulda been a big pull.

If you decide to open the box and you happen to pull a Colton sketch, let me know and I'll buy it from you. If you get a redemption for the MacFarlane auto, I'll buy that from you too!

Thanks guys! I would have ripped it open if the Seth wasn't a redemption but I ended up throwing it on ebay and doubled my money, so no complaints. I would have been curious about the sketch though.
