Default Prominent Cuts is out

It looks like UD is actually going to release it this week. I decided to go ahead and buy a case, so we'll see how that goes. There are a few auctions already up.

prominent cuts, Sports Mem, Cards Fan Shop, Home Garden. Great deals on eBay!

I had an idea they would protray those hollywood-worn cards just like they did in 09 Piece of History....god awful! althought I do like the size of the swatch

Yeah, my hope is to get some decent MMA autos and jerseys, sell those off, and keep the cuts I like. Im just hoping that doesnt come at too much of a price.

With every box having a cut and MMA cards- is this going to flood the market and decrease the value of either (cut signatures [SP legendary, Razor, etc.] or any series MMA cards) from other products? I was planning on buying a case, but if the "chase cards" are Freud and Reagan, I don't think I'm going to risk it. To me this seems just as bad as Razor Cuts (people like Perez Hilton being a common cut). I may just spend the 200 on a Mystery Cuts redemption.

If you didn't see the name on this one, would you come anywhere close to guessing who's "auto" this was?

Yea, the few Cuts I see are Donal Logue and Michael Ansara? It of course says these are actors on the card because they are not movie "stars". if these are the cuts they are placing in this (High End) product they are pocketing a very large profit on this one. I will reserve my judgement for a few weeks while the other cuts also come out.

Can't believe you'd pay $180. and this is a cut that Upper Deck considers "Prominent"

He's a sitcom actor. No offense to him.

It is a neat idea from UD.

But for 180-200 a box. the cuts that are coming out are awful!

Lets hope some big names pop quickly. becuase if this is it. Wow!

+1. Especially when you compare to the Queen Victoria cut that the guy pulled from the Razor in the other break forum. More "historical" figures and fewer 2nd/3rd tier actors please!

Looking at the auctions in the first post, I have to say this looks like absolute GARBAGE.

What's up with a Dale Earnhardt /47 CUT, and then some dumb ass cuts like John Loogey /27?

Heheh.. I know.. I'm totally lame and my lack of discipline takes over sometimes.. I'm getting better, but not totally cured yet.

I picked up a box today, I'll post screenies later in a new post.
