Well, that's gonna at least be a few hundred dollar card, so I'll never own it, lol...

I heard rumors of that happening at Dallas Comic-Con, but I didn't let myself believe it. I guess I better start saving my pennies.

That's exciting news! Hopefully they'll be packed out into the standard boxes. That way there's a better chance for collectors to get one for people who can't afford to buy a case or cases.

Packing into boxes would be great, but aren't ALL of Rittenhouse's top-level auto chase cards case incentives?

I have a feeling Buffy will be one of the few multi-case buys for me. I want one of those SMG autographs.

Looks like Kryten gets his wish...

Per the Rittenhouse forums from 5/16/14:

Release date has been pushed back to 2015. Still working on the set. Taking time to do it right.

Same boat as you. I'm in for cases of Dr. Who and this would have made the holidays insane, especially if the SMG autos pack out in boxes.

Well, pushing back Buffy to 2015 certainly helps me. This is the first set that I'm going to try to make a master set of, so I need to gather funds and stop blowing money at comic conventions like I did this weekend.

I wonder what other chase cards are in the works... someone on here mentioned sketch cards?

I guess we won't really get any concrete information until next year...

Steve Charendoff just said yesterday on the Rittenhouse boards that Buffy will likely be released in February. Buffy sketch cards were on display on the Rittenhouse tables at the Philly show but I wasn't there and have yet to see a pic of them. From what I've read Rittenhouse is concentrating more on getting new signers for this -- actors who never signed Buffy cards for the Inkworks sets. When I asked them at the Spring Philly show I was told that this will be the one and only Buffy set they make. I can't wait to see what the SMG autograph sells for. I would imagine at least $500 but it could it possibly fetch close to $1000? I know I'm getting one no matter what but I may resist temptation and wait on it until the hype and price die down a bit.

I always hate card releases that don't feature the main character. Having them sign 50 cards and making them impossible to find or afford is just about as bad. Hopefully this isnt like Harrison Ford and his ssp autos.

In any case this is fun news.
