Default Solarfly Mystery Box gong show

I am getting a bit aggravated with Solarfly.

I ordered some Mystery Boxes on Dec 18th.

They shipped via Fedex to a PO Box as a free "upgrade" since it was the holiday season Nice gesture but Fedex won't deliver to PO Boxes...

Didn't get a tracking number for the Fedex Shipment which I found a bit odd.

Arrived Return To Sender a week ago at Solarfly, promised immediate Global Priority shipping + tracking number by Matt then.

Still waiting after a week and no answer to 2 follow up emails after that. It took me 2 emails to get my first response when the order was almost 2 weeks old.

Not very impressed, thank goodness they don't sell anything that I usually collect. From 8 emails I have gotten 2 responses.

Thinking about sending another email tomorrow night asking for a refund if it hasn't been shipped yet. Sheesh... For this aggravation I hope I get a WD or Marvel Retro box

That's weird..might just be bad timing or something. Anytime I send him an email with a question or something he responds normally within 24 hours. And I've always had really good customer service there.

Hopefully you get your items soon and get some good mystery boxes

They have slow shipping, but Matt never went more than a few hours without answering me. That seems strange to me too. Hmm

I had the exact same problem with my case of Grimm cards. I got them at least a month after they came out, and it took forever to get my emails responded too.

I think Matt's responsiveness relies on how big the issue is. He's been pretty responsive to me, but I also live 20 minutes from them, so if issues got too bad...I'm knocking on a door at some random address.

I really think they need to hire another person as CS, so Matt can work on escalated issues only or something.

Not making any excuses but it's a small operation and the bottom-most rung when it comes to the big shipping companies. If the big retailers had issues with shipping this past holiday season, I can't imagine how bad it was for the little guys trying to get things delivered on time (or delivered at all).

I received a UPS package yesterday from my FedEx guy. I'm NOT kidding.

Just heard from Matt. He says he had family issues on Thursday and just got back last night. Apparently I am now being sent the boxes by Express Mail, which is supposed to arrive by Friday. He says I am getting a 3rd Mystery Box and a coupon.

If it is not shipped today(and I don't get a tracking number) I am supposed to get a full refund. I also got more "sincere apologies". Is Solarfly a one man operation or something? Even if Matt had to leave you would think that someone would be able to drop a box in the mail?

We will see and I will keep you posted.

Not surprising. I think all of those companies are in bed together to try and save money.

It definitely does seem like it's a one man operation.

It's a shame they have all of these shipping/processing issues because I like their mix of sealed product and singles, but my two orders with them have been filled with the same problems listed in this thread. Don't think I'd ever order any new product or pre-order from them unless they fix these issues.

Well, I just got sent what is supposed to be a USPS Global Express tracking number. In theory I will have the mystery boxes by Friday.

The service is fulfilled by FedEx so I am hoping that it gets delivered this time... Documentation says it does deliver to PO boxes although I may get a phone call asking for a valid delivery address instead of the PO Box?

Fingers crossed....

Strange thing about FedEx, unless it is an oversize package, they don't deliver straight to me (and that is with a street address, not a PO Box.) They deliver to my post office, and let them handle the last 3 miles. Of course, I do live in the middle of a swamp, so that might be why. I had an issue with an SO holiday delivery this year also (shorted a pack of Insectae) and it did take some emails back and forth to get it cleared up, but they finally got it handled, and definitely to my benefit. They tossed in an extra pack of Insectae. Hope you get your package tomorrow!

Didn't really have a problem with receiving the mystery boxes but ordered something almost a month ago and still hasn't shipped. Sent a email and got no reply.

I ordered ten One Touch holders with my mystery boxes. Received the mystery boxes in decent time but there were no magnetics in there. Sent a couple emails back and forth until I just said I would like a refund. Said refund will go through in a couple days and he'll send me some free holders for my trouble... this has been going on for weeks, and my order was placed over a month ago...

His store is too large to be a one-man operation, he either needs to scale back or get some help... I can't see too many people putting up with service like this for too long.

Shipment is currently en route to Canada. Won't see it before Tuesday at this rate unless Priority Express moves on weekends. Got Priority Express instead of Global Express as Global uses FedEx for fulfillment and Matt was worried about the delivery "bouncing" again.

Man I hope there is something really good in these to make it worth the aggravation.... Should have just bought a box of BW Vault from BO instead.

Parcel arrived at my PO Box at last. Will post a break later tonight likely, tomorrow morning at the latest. Fingers crossed for a sealed box or Spiderman set + auto...

Default I had great Mystery Boxes

I bought a few and got some sealed product, some case-incentive sketches or relics, was really happy.

I'm considering 1 or 2, but the big hit box options don't seem too great for having 100 total boxes. I have a feeling I'd get a ton of 'premium packs' if I ordered 10

I'll be in for 3. I had decent luck on the last 5 I bought (sealed box of Warlord of Mars and a couple decent sketches)

Well, I purchased 5, for the Free Shipping at $150. I'm going to assume that there will be a good chunk of Viceroy Insectae/Deep inserted into these 'mystery Boxes'. I'm 1 day shipping, so, assuming they get shipped today/tomorrow, I should have them by Wednesday. Depending on how I feel about my 5 will help me decide if I'll grab some more if they aren't sold out...70 more left atm.
