What I find interesting:
Each Hobby Box will contain a Bonus Foil Pack containing one (1) oversized card. 1:12 Bonus Packs will contain an Oversized Sketch Card!

1 oversized sketch card per case sounds great!

I wonder if the odds on the autographs are correct, 3 actor autographs per case (plus a dual auto or costume auto) would be amazing (assuming they get some of the big names to sign).

I do wonder what they are doing for costume cards though. Cosmic Strings seems like a stupid name to me, but the bigger question is how are they going to do a costume card featuring all of the team, if some of them are cgi?

There are only 10 packs per box on this so actor autos will be 1 in 8 boxes so 1.5 per case.

Nope, but I'm thinking maybe that is the oversized sketch card?

10 packs per box? Guess this is a 'premium' release?

Wow, only 10 packs per box (I assumed 20), guess that makes sense on the actor autograph odds then. On a 12 box case, on average you would get 10 sketches, 2 actor autographs (total of single, dual, and costume autos), and 2 comic autographs.

Sketch Cards:
Sketch Cards Horizontal - (1 : 80)
Sketch Card Vertical - (1 : 40)
Sketch Cards Character Set - (1 : 40)
Sketch Cards POI - (1 : 240)
Classic Covers Auto - (1 : 60)

Autographs:
Autograph Cards Single - (1 : 80)
Autograph Cards Dual - 1 : 480

Interesting list of sketch variations. I am going to love all of the Rocket Raccoon sketches that will be hitting as it's my guess he will be the most fun for artists to draw.

Also interesting to see the Classic covers auto listed as a sketch card? Maybe just listed in the wrong place?

Set sounds awesome being a bit different than other Upper Deck Movie releases - change is good!

Yep. I was thumbnailing a Groot/Rocket fastball special card today. It's fun thinking up classic raccoon situations that can be adapted to a gun slinging space raccoon situation.

Looks like Pratt and Saldana are in it at least.

2014 Upper Deck Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy

I wouldn't be shocked if those cards are never made though. We all know how Upper Deck loves to aim high with their sell sheets while shooting much lower once the product comes out.

Nice to see they are once again continuing with the character specific sketch cards.

I see UD finally learned their lesson, and added "All Actor Autographs Subject To Change" on the sell sheet. Since they added that though, who thinks that there is less than a 50% chance either of the pictured actor autographs actually gets made?

I hope they, at least, have these people signed on contract to sign the cards. If they're just throwing these mock-ups together on sell sheets, that's just ridiculous. I mean, they might not return them in time (Chris Evans?) and delay a product but at least they had a commitment. Who knows, maybe when Avengers 2 comes out it'll be a glorious sticker auto dump of all these cards that never got released.

Curious why you think those names are on contract. I thought it was how UD rolled to promise things just out of the blue whether they could deliver them or not.

I honestly believe that Chris Evans was never signed to a contract, hence why the card was pulled after being shown. It's also why Cryptozoic has been so vocal about not announcing signers until they have signed a contract to appear in a set. I used to really like Upper Deck, but I lost a lot of my good will towards them after the Chris Evans debacle. I was really amped for that card, and when it was pulled, I was a lot angrier than I thought I'd ever be over a piece of cardboard. I'd believe that Saldana is in, but Pratt might be the hang up. He was oddly absent from the Parks and Recreation set

I never said I thought anybody was on contract.

Believe me, I know. I keep hoping they'll get the NFL license back so I can collect real cards again. It's not going well...

Better to manage expectations early on rather than wait until the last week before announcing a delay

I notice the promo card doesn't seem to have made it into this issue. Has anyone picked up any promo cards from this set yet? I would like to pick up some if they exist, but it doesn't look like they are out there yet.

any firm release date on this yet or any more info in general?

Hoping to pre-order several boxes of this. I can't wait for the movie, hoping Upper Deck goes all out on the auto's but im certainly not counting on it.

Only 10 packs per box, you're going to need at least 2 boxes for a base set.

The hits should be really cool in this set.
