Joe's base card art in this is awesome! I've always loved his art. It looks like I will try to buy a couple of boxes of this. It'll be the first time in years that I'm willing to take the risk.

If the revival works. I hope to see the Brothers Hildebrandt and even Alex Ross in future series. Even give the opportunity to the new sketch artist to make a set. A lot of the new guys have a lot of talent. Just to spend in 1:1 sketch card that not everybody upload in the Internet to share the artwork.
How quickly people forget that UD comissioned Cruddie Torian to do all new base art for the previous Marvel Premier set.

I'm assuming he was just talking about the Masterpieces line.

I read somewhere that it would be in November but I don't recall where I read that.

Depending on the box price I may buy more than a couple

But, this puts me in a bit of a bind, I wanted to purchase the '96 MM set off eBay this year

The recycled artwork comment has been posted in about every Marvel comic thread, even by myself in some instances. Everybody complains about recycled artwork, but nobody gives props when a company commissions new artwork for a set (like every CZE DC set). Nobody talked about the base card artwork for Marvel Premier. I get that people like Joe Jusko, but they shouldn't have to get Joe Jusko to get recognition for commissioning new artwork for a set.

Does Marvel Premier can be classify as a classic card set to collect? I don't think so. Anyway I'm not running after every new product.

I'm still more collecting '90s trading cards. I don't manage to see the new DC Cryptozoic cards. Maybe will get some in a future. I'm a DC character fan, but Marvel trading cards are always more interesting even the copy-paste products from Rittenhouse. So I will not be surprise people don't care about the DC cards.

My interest from UDC and the Masterpiece revival is see a classic style product like in the '90s. You enjoy in many cases the base card artwork. The base set was the live, center, and essence of the product. Meanwhile the insert/chase cards were just some extra great stuff to collect.

I knew the artwork was familiar. I've collected comics and cards sparsely over the years. The original MM set was my favorite growing up. My kids will get a kick out of breaking a box with me while I tell them stories of me growing up. There is no monetary value to that. I am excited to see a comeback!

I am also excited for it. I still have my 93 through 96 sets of MM. I have 83 of the 1992 set. with a few flairs and holos as well.

Looks like the next promo for this set will be inserted in the upcoming NSU magazine

I got an email from a dealer with a date of July, 2015. I thought it was going to release this year, especially since we first heard of it at the beginning of this year. On the other hand, that's nearly a 1 1/2 years to save up for it.

I'm okay with it. With Jusko doing ALL the base card art from concept to finished product, I'm sure its a fairly lengthy process. Also, a long lead time makes me think they may have some other exciting goodies in mind. Maybe just being an optimist though. I assume this set will fill the "premium" hole that Premier 2012, Retro 2013, Premier 2014 held.

The date signed on the Hulk promo is 2013! Joe's been busy on this for quite a while, this set is going to be amazing.

If they are taking their time with this set that makes me happy. Hopefully the sketch inserts also are not rushed.

Completed artist proofs are now showing up on eBay, so maybe this set will hit soon.

How can that be? No company allows the artists to sell AP's before the release.

Not the first time an artist has gone rogue...

I contacted him about both issues. Some people never read the fine print even though it's never fine.
