Im pretty sure it would be ok to commission an artist to draw on the blank Fan Art sketch cards. How awesome would it be to have a ACAR, NAR! or even a WAY$HAK sketch for this set.

I had fun working on this set. Not often I get to draw really cartoony art for sketch cards.

Is there a thread somewhere that tells what all the abbreviations on this site mean? I feel so confused.

I like the blank sketch card idea. This came up in the initial Marvel NOW! chatter when the cover sketch cards were initially rumored to be blank (they weren't... They were just sketch cards with comic book titles at the top).

I will definitely try to pick up a few and commission away!

Artist proof and artist return... Artist proofs tend to be blank and a customer can commission a requested drawing from the artist on them. Artist returns were completed and submitted by the artist with their original group of sketches for the set, but designated to be returned to the artist.

Ok thank you... And why do they get them returned and not put in the set? I don't know how the sketch card stuff works, I don't collect sets with sketches ATM. I just order my first sketch card on eBay of green arrow from the new 52 dc set.

Basically, sketch card artists only get a small dollar amount for each sketch card they do that gets inserted into packs. Because of this, they rely on AR/APs to sell for more $... It is their primary source of compensation for the set. This is also why you sometimes see better art in an artist's AR/AP than what was inserted into packs.

This looks a potentially interesting set, as the animation and art style lend itself very well to sketch cards. Dependant on price I could be tempted in to a case.

There are a ton of great sets coming out this year, but this is the one I am most looking forward to... It is going to be a classic!

Wow, how long does it take M. Emmet Walsh to sign a card? Great signature.

Jeez, thanks for putting all of this together. Have to say the current Playpaks have me in full kid mode with tattoos, scratch and sniffs, stickers and standees.

Is there anywhere to preorder this aside from DACARDWORLD? I noticed their case price just jumped $100
