Default Cryptozoic announces new property -- Who You Gunna Call?

Just announced at Philly Non Sports Card Show

Ghostbusters.

I'm sure we won't get any updates until 2015, but they have the rights to the two films, comics, the cartoon, everything.

The autograph potential is huge for this set. Will be interesting to see who they can actually get.

I'm guessing they don't get Harold Ramis.

Consider me excited. The right company is making the cards too. Can you imagine a Bill Murray autograph? Hey a guy can dream.

Because I have to grump about something, I wish it was just for the first movie but this sounds like it would be a fun product

I can't say how excited I am for this. They are my all-time favorite movies. I was excited when Topps got Hudson to sign for their set in GB uniforum. I have been waiting for something like this for years. This is great news.

Hudson and Aykroyd are usually willing signers. Any sort of wardrobe or relic/prop cards would be a great addition. I can see the potential in this release to be huge if done right.

Great.

Terrible news. So lame when greatness gets screwed up.

Lame that a card set is being released for a couple of classic movies? That makes a ton of sense. If you think its lame, don't buy any.

Making you opinion based on an announcement? THAT is lame

Yeah I'm waiting for all the people to complain that Crypto didn't get Ramis to sign before he died.

I'm really stoked for this, what an amazing announcement!

Aykroyd has never been in a set that I know of but is known to get a signature from without issue. Hudson has been in several sets include topps 75th, heroes, and stargate

If this thread contains "hating", I think Crypto would take this kind of hating all day long.

They are big boys--they put out a product, I believe we can comment on what that product contains: good, bad, or mixed.

Akroyd is a good guy. Was here a few weeks ago doing a charity bike ride and signing bottles of Crystal Skull vodka.

Interesting news. I would say getting Bill Murray to sign anything will be an extremely tough task. If they do, I'm in. I don't think a Harold Ramis cut is out of the question though. I wouldn't mind Rick Moranis & Signourney Weaver either.

I like the idea of revisiting old films for cards sets. I dream of a "True Romance" set.

One of my favorite movies, look forward to the set. Of course I said that about breaking bad too......

That would be one amazing autograph list.

Non-sports cards aside, the board gaming side of me would be happy with a Ghostbusters Deck Building game.

My heart is in my throat with this announcement. Ghostbusters is my all time favorite property. Period. But to say crypto's recent track record has been sketchy at best. I'm going to hold my breath and reserve judgement until I see the signer list. If it doesn't include Murray, Aykroyd, Hudson, Potts and to an extent Weaver & Moranis, it will be a wasted golden opportunity.

....... That said, ghostbusters cards? Holy ****!!!!!
