Default Does anyone still play or collect Star Wars CCG?

Like these? I use to play this game awhile ago and was just curious if they still produced boxes or what the deal was with this. Thanks for any input.

Decipher, who made these, lost the Star Wars license and on the way out dumped a crap-ton of product onto the market at cut-rate prices.

Only a couple of the last releases still hold value.

But I know people who still play it. I don't know if they are still active, but a group was trying to keep the game alive by designing new cards you could print and slip into sleeves on top of an old card.

I have a bunch of those but I have much more of their Star Trek 1st edition game.

It was so much fun to play (more fluid and logical than Star Wars and very true to the mythology, if you were a Trek fan, still fun if you were not.) I miss playing it.

At least the Trek game used to be online after the print edition ended, not sure if it still is.

I own CategoryOneGames which is the largest seller of Star Wars CCG.

The Game is still alive and doing well. Decipher lost the license in 2001 and a Players Committee was created that still runs events and makes Virtual cards for the game and has kept it alive. Larger events still get 60+ players to them and many of the players travel to larger events, making it really fun to play.

If you need any cards or have questions about the game, let me know.

I saw 2 big boxes full of these over at my local flee market. They were wanting $30 for them. I'd have bought them but I don't play the game.

Depends if the rares were in there and not just common, uncommons.
