Default How does non sport do at the flea market?

I was thinking of putting together a table of funny stuff like hollywood zombies and wacky packages.

I was going to sell for 50 cents a card.

I was thinking people who don't collect might buy this stuff because they think it's funny and why not for 50 cents?

It won't cost me barely anything to give it a shot, and as opposed to sports cards, there's no trash that nobody will buy.

Would also be nice to include stupid heroes when that comes out. My angle is going to be funny cards for 50 cents.

Are you going to sell in a flea market or eBay? Are all common/base cards with less than 10 years old? No offense, but some people don't understand the concept of a "flea market". A $0.50 for each card is the price I expect in eBay or in the Internet from collectors and sellers.

Now if you are telling $0.50 for a shoe box full of cards. It is a flea market deal.

With the flea market's I've been to, I'm not sure how much success you will have. From what you are saying, it seems like your target audience is people that will browse the table and maybe taken in by some nostalgic factor because they haven't seen wacky pack stickers in forever and might buy one or two. That seems like it might be a very small slice.

Good luck if you do it. Let us know how it turns out.

I don't know about Puerto Rico, but flea markets near me mostly have (1) overpriced home-made jewelry/crafts (2) dollar store junk being sold for $5 (3) clothing and packaged good imported from other countries.

From my perspective, his target are browsers with children who can easily win an argument that mom or dad should buy them a sticker for $0.50. Nonetheless, standing out in the hot sun all day to walk away up or down a few bucks doesn't seem all that worth it to me. Probably end up making much less than the federal minimum wage.

Good luck.

You never know what people will want to buy. If i was to see you at a flee market chances are I would come buy from you, though I'd grab a big stack of cards and ask for a price and haggle. 50 cents a card is a bit steep if people want to buy them in bulk.

Yeah, here in Puerto Rico has become the same thing. The sense and objective of a "flea market" was lost. And lets not forget the "garage sales" are suffering the same issue.

Not sure about your home town/city. But the local "flea markets" aren't really a "family" atmosphere place. Here the "family" shopping atmosphere are in the shopping malls, WMart, Wgreens. Big parking, some sense of security, and AC. Lets the "window shopping" rules.

Zeusophobia, we only gave our opinions and suggestions. It is your business. You are free to try the $0.50 for common/base cards in a flea market. Good luck!

From what I've seen of non-sports flea market sales is mostly game cards. If your target group is kids be prepared for a lot of kids thumbing through your stacks with sticky fingers and no regard for gently handling of cards. I've found any cards at flea markets will have condition isses, even those under glass.

By me, the flea market is something you do on the weekends when the weather is nice. Usually a lot of kids.
