Teaser Gallery: Panini America Breaks Open One Early Box of 2015 Country Music
Jan 27th 2015, 23:49, by Tracy Hackler

Panini America will make hobby and country music history tomorrow with the release of 2015 Country Music, a standalone trading card set devoted to some of country music’s legends, current stars and upcoming talent. Each hobby box will deliver four autograph or memorabilia cards (one per pack, four packs per box) and the product checklist is headlined by the likes of Darius Rucker, Florida Georgia Line, Wynonna, The Band Perry, the Eli Young Band, Parmalee and many more.
We’ve done our best over the last week or so to bring you up close and personal with the product by way of a base-set preview and a comprehensive Quality Control Gallery. Today, we’re offering a card-by-card breakdown featuring the contents of one hobby box. Enjoy the gallery and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage of the pioneering 2015 Country Music trading card set.

couldn't agree more. I mean I really love this concept and will def pick up some singles but this product just lacks star power. Swing and a miss by Panini.

I didn't thinnk it could be any worse than the previews...this confirms I was wrong. Been a big 'country' music fan for years and years and years..never heard of Neil Mason or that Young guy....seriously wtf?
Also Mark Chesnutt and Gretchen as the other two hits? What a catastrophe.

On board with all of you guys. Maybe $40 a box and that's a big maybe. That preview was pretty bad, the other break I saw was the 2 Beckett guys, Sara Evans relic auto was best pull. Most are of the band members of bands I have never heard of. The Cadillac Three? That's where Mason comes from. And some other country rap band that I don't know where they found these guys. The other guy I didn't really know either until I thought about it some after looking at checklist and he is a member of Eli Young Band. But VERY few stars to chase in this checklist. They couldn't afford to make a product with the stars in it.

Yeah great idea (I myself had previously made a detailed outline of a country music set as well as a Rock and Pop set with a friend of mine during a "what would we do if we had our own card company" conversation). Now I don't know if Panini tried here or went with the "bare minimum" attitude but this is was off the mark of what a great set this could have been one has to wonder if Willie Nelson got the Panini executives high as hell when they went to make this set. $30-$40 a box is where this set should be as unless you get one of like 3 people you are pretty much SOL sadly. Just so much potential here wasted. I hope the Panini people are not proud of themselves for this release as they really should be ashamed. I will give them this though, the silhouette cards are very nice.

I'd honestly like to know if they even reached out to the likes of Paisley, Underwood, McGraw, Chesney, Strait, Brooks, and such.

I love outlaw country from the 70s. Once I saw there were not autos or cuts from Merle, Waylon, etc, I'm out. I could care less about modern country.

Would've loved to have seen some old school stars autos. Dolly, Kenny, Willie, Anne Murray, a George Jones, Johnny Cash or Waylon Jennings cut. So many possibilities. If Larry Gatlin/Gatlin Brothers had been included, I might have bought some of this just to try my luck.
