Default E-bay Flooded witrh Indiana Jones cards...

Looking at all the auctions for various Indiana cards I have noticed the steedy decline of prices. Im thinking this is most likely due to the overload of product.

Now im trying to decide if its worth getting in a few more box's not only because the value of cards has droped but also because im woudnering how many signatures and Sketches might be left out there..

Any suggestions? do you think there is any money to be made in this market now? or is it pretty much done and dusted?

TOPPS in their infinite wisdom released 2 Indiana Jones sets within 1 month of eachother, over 30,000 hobby boxes for each set (compare that to Star Wars which is usually 20,000 hobby boxes). There is just way too much product out there, the 2 sets are pretty much the same thing too, a few different signers and sketch artists but not much to separate them. Don't forget, TOPPS still has Indiana Jones Masterpieces coming, no autos, just sketches, so you'll see even more product. I steered clear of the IJ sets, luckily, and wouldn't touch these cards with a 10 foot pole. Unless you hit 1 of the super short print autos like Ford (8 cards) or one of the 1% of sketch cards by the few artists who sell really well you might as well put your chash in a shredder with all the Waterhouse sketches from the set (there's a video of a guy putting his Waterhouse sketches into a shredder on youtube. lol).

I haven't kept up with any new info since I have 0 interest in the set but Here is the excerpt from the Topps press release from a while back:

The Indiana Jones property has inspired many talented artists whose work has adorned familiar movie posters as well as the covers of numerous books and comics. A fine selection of these breathtaking images plus newly commissioned, never-before-seen works will comprise the program's third card series, Indiana Jones Masterpieces. Planned for release around the holidays, Indiana Jones Masterpieces follows in the tradition of Topps' highly successful, all-art-based Lord of the Rings Masterpieces.
