My guess is that the retail packs will be like FA1 and FA2, hopefully retail is where most of the medallion cards are!

From Facebook Topps said FA Chrome will be at Target exclusively for retail stores and have an exclusive parallel, as well as value boxes ($20 blasters I assume) will have exclusive patch cards not available in hobby.

Depending on it's size, that patch set will probably end up being a costly set to complete. If you haven't totally given up on manufactured hits like some of us that is.

Well boys and girls we are 1 month away from release, has anyone pre-ordered a case?
I will get 1 eventually but not in any hurry, since prices should either stay or drop a little.
So far not much hype or any big reveals from Topps. They said they would do more after the conventions.

We know there will be autos of Han, Luke, Leia, Finn and Snoke. Also a few dual and triple autos.

I believe there will be like 25 SP cards that fall 1 per box, but that is not 100% confirmed yet.

They added hobby exclusive parallels to the inserts, which is good and bad to some. I suggested awhile back to just add Superfractors to the inserts not multiple parallels.

I am completely clueless on what the print run will be with this product. It has to be less than Chrome Series 2, but I have very little to go on at this point. Normally I have a better sense.

Do we know what the costume relics will be of?

I pre-ordered 2 cases of Chrome.

Hopefully some big surprises coming, that would be nice!

Somewhere on Facebook Topps promised 6 new TFA signers for this set, don't recall when they said they would be announced.

Topps said a few weeks back that there are 7 new signers along with most of the same signers from FA2.

1 will be Snoke, but hoping that at least 2 others are pretty decent. I hope they continue to at least add 1-2 big names to each product.

I saw that BO raised the price from $925 to $960 in the last week, so people must have been buying recently from them.

I noticed on the sell sheet that almost all of the numbered cards will be hobby exclusive. Retail is probably going to really suck!

This is scary for a set that, by all indications, will still rely heavily on medallions. Even if they get Daisy, Adam, and Oscar all to sign, the already horrible odds of pulling any of them will get even worse than recent sets due to the single hit per box configuration. Out of a 12 box case, I could easily see Topps making 6 of the hits medallions.

Topps is obviously testing the waters with this set to see how much they can scale back content and still convince people to buy. If they want to continue considering manufactured hits as part of the draw for sets, fine. However, a one hit per box set like TFA Chrome should have been at a cheaper price point than all of the other recent two hit per box sets.

I will be shocked if you get more than 3 medallions in a case.

My guess is that you will get 5-6 autos, 2-3 medallions, 1-2 relics, 0-1 Printing Plates, 1-2 sketch cards.

Kind of regretting pre-ordering my case. These Autograph lists just to big.

At price point of around $70 per box, and 1 hit, I worry about ROI on this one alot.

When was the last time topps surprised with any extra additions that were worth while?

Hot boxes, were a nice touch with Chrome 1, but I think this one may be another potential stinker unless you all "know who" signs.

Last I looked I think the my dist was selling Chrome 2 at $45? ugh...

This product will be better than Chrome 2, but will fall well short of Chrome 1. Wide range I know, LOL!

I would really like to see Topps have hot boxes whenever you get a medallion card.

If you got 14-15 hits in a case and 2-3 are medallions, it would make people more accepting of this product.

I would jump all over it at $45, that's cheaper than Topps direct. Even if you don't like it, you can easily flip it on feebay. That's a no brainer.

Not really. It sells for $59.99 on ebay with free shipping.

Shipping is going to cost you a minimum of $6.00 if not $8.00

Fees on $60.00 will be $7.80

So you are looking at netting $1.20 cents if your shipping is $6.00 and losing 80 cents if you pay $8.00

This. Probably why there sittin on mountains of cases of this stuff. Not even sure I would pop on $35 if it was available at that price point let alone $45.

Oh sorry, I was just looking at sold items, not completed. I saw a few boxes sold at $75-85 and a case at $950 recently. Hopefully there isn't too many medallions per case, since the autos are hard enough to hit.

I think they will stick to that date. They already pushed out a month and no other word of another push back.

Topps responded to my questions and posted this today:
"We have 29 autograph cards in the set. We'll be announcing the signers next week. We've already revealed Ford, Hamill, Fisher, Serkis, Boyega and a few others. There are 7 total who are new to TFA including Hamill & Serkis. We have four insert sets: Heroes of the Resistance will have 18, Behind The Scenes 12, Ships & Vehicles 11, and Power Of The First Order 9. There are 25 medallion card subjects (Hobby Only) with a 1/1 , # to 10, # to 25 parallels and # to 50 base. There are 27 patch cards only available in Target. More info coming very soon."

So it looks like the medallions will only fall about 2 per case and it won't be impossible to get one #'ed to 10 or 1/1, so if one of those are your hits, it won't be terrible.

A Rey, Kylo, Finn, Solo, Leia or Luke Medallion #'ed to 10 or 1/1 would be well worth it IMO.

I am still not saying this product looks great, but it is improving.

The new NSU has two new signers listed: Yayan Ruhian (Tasu Leech) and Mark Dodson (Salacious Crumb, odd choice for this set but one I've wanted for a long time!).

The first half of the autograph signer list is up: www.facebook.com/OfficialToppsStarWars and includes Andy Serkis as Snoke, Yayan Ruhian as Tasu Leech, Mark Dodson (as Prashee), Matthew Wood plus the returning villains and creatures.

Not sure. The closest card like this one is the oppo rancis from JvS chrome. However, that one is on card and Oppo Rancis is a more prominent background character.
