Default Got a huge redemption!

Yup, and it will be here in less than 9 months.

Wasn't planned, but were not looking at it as a mistake. We've been together for almost 4 years now. The plan was to get married in the summer of next year. So, that might get moved up a little bit. We have a ton of planning and discussing to do. We are both in the middle of going back to school and neither of us plan on stopping. Wish I would have finished college the first time around, but now I just have a better reason to get it done now.

Sports cards are going on hold for a long while, and thats just fine with me (I have a new hobby). I'm gonna sell probably everything but my vintage and a few RC's. So things will end up on here and Ebay shortly. However, I don't plan on leaving the board. I plan on staying a regular. Maybe I can trade cards for formula and diapers?

Congrats on the future addition to your "collection"

Sad to see a fellow collector leave the hobby, be it temporarily, but your doing it for the right reasons and I commend you for that.

Byron,

Congrats on joining the group and family setting. It is truly the greatest gift to you and your future wife that you will love and adore. It is easily the best "pull" or "hit" or "redemption" that you will ever get. Enjoy every bit of it!

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I'm ecstatic to say the least. I'm 25 and almost feel late to the game. I was always afraid I would be to old to play ball with my kid or do those things. But I think i will be okay. We found out yesterday from the doctor, so tonight we talk to our families and let them know. I know her mom is going to be doing back flips. She is already suspecting since Ash has been sick all week. The only thing I'm dreading is diaper dooty. hahaha

You'll get over that real quick my friend, congrats.

Believe me that diaper duty will seem great when it comes to watching the same Hannah Montana episode for the 8th time, Barney, the Doodlebops (if I could push a button and kill all three... keep me away from the rifle).

That and projectile vomit, that's always fun too.

But the good outweighs the bad. Suggestion: enjoy the sleeping in now, because in 9 months that is over, and in two years, sleeping until 7 AM will seem like sleeping in.

31 here and still no kids, and not really ready for one either. Most of our friends have 1 or 2 but didn't even start until 28 or so. So yeah, if you can't play ball at 35 then I guess the rest of us are in trouble. Congrats!!

I started doing card shows at 6 with my dad. So, I figure I will start in somewhere around there too with my kid. I'm excited to share the moments I shared with my pops.

He's the reason I collect vintage cards. They were his favorite and became my favorite.

Well, we were too early. The baby is still to low, but they say in 2 weeks we will hear the heartbeat for sure. It really doesn't matter on the gender. But, I would love to have a boy. But, I wouldn't mid have a "daddies little girl".

Also if your insurance will cover (not all do) an NT scan go for it. Basically a hi resolution ultrasound. Usually it is done if there is any genetic predisposition for birth defects. The pics it yields are amazing. Getting the chance to see my soon to be born daughter waving at me and moving her fingers.

By chance are you referring to the 3D Ultrasound? Thats what people keep asking me if Im going to get done. It's the orange looking Ultrasound. Were discussing that. We got hit with so much stuff today. Honestly I don't think I was ready for all the questions and appointments. It was a little too much informations overload. But I'm reading the books and digesting.

No it is not a 3D scan.
