Default Waiting for UPS...

Is worse than not having anything to open...

I have 10 boxes coming from blowout this week, plus old wax/vending of late 70s early 80s coming to me and I am sick of waiting.

Just wanted to vent...

late 70's/early 80's....care to elaborate??? Holding for investment? Working on sets, or busting to break??? Oh and good luck!

1978T Baseball Wax
1982T Baseball Cello
1982T Baseball Vending
1983T Baseball Wax

plus a couple from 85 -- think I got a 85T Vending and 4 85F Vending...

...oh, I picked up an 86T Vending Case cause it was a good price.

A mix of set building/breaking -- I have a 50% hand set of 82 and 90% hand set of 83 that I will hopefully finish...I kind of want to finish the sets that remind me of why I started collecting in the first place...

(which means I need to dig up a bunch of 82-85 baseball)

I narrowly missed a 79 Wax Box, and 77 and 79 Vending...prices went just a bit too high for me...

Good luck bziddy, and more importantly have fun! I've gotten a few of the same things you've got on the way recently...it's a whole different experience going through that stuff. Sure, you have zero chance of getting some super rare insert but that's about your odds in modern stuff anyways, lol. It is pretty sweet when every other card is of a hall of famer or guy you grew up watching.

You can look at the super rare insert this way -- if you open a box of 84 football and pull a Marino that PSA deems a 10...that's just as good as any modern day insert (almost).

I hope you get a cello w/Ripken showing. That would pull some good cash. People love unopened rack, cello, wax with big cards showing.

This one shop I used to go to had vintage wax that I would open some times. I tried the gum once on a pack that was 15 years old. It was almost as bad as the gum that came out of current packs at the time. It never actually turned into a wad of gum, it just crumbled into some sort of gum sand. YUM YUM

I had a guy eat 1982 Topps gum at my table a few months ago and he threw up. Luckily it wasn't on anything expensive.
