Default What food do you make up before the super bowl?

I usually make up chicken wings, order a couple pizzas, and do nachos before the game, but I usually go crazy by making my own wings because not a lot of places make wings as hot as I like them.

I like using (for about 2 pounds of chicken wings)
4 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons oregano leaves
3 tablespoons black pepper
5 tablespoons melted butter (may be more, never measured it)
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoon seasoning salt
Depends on how its tasting add garlic, hot pepper sauce or if I'm lucky some chopped/diced jalapeño peppers (usually 2-3) (usually overdo it on the hot sauce), and other stuff just to mix it in just to mess around with the taste.

Marinate that at room temp for about 45 minutes, while the chicken is cooking, apply it after it comes out very heavily on the wings. Then usually get a good size dipping bowl of hot sauce on the side just in case its not hot enough, but usually does the trick.

This recipe of mine has come from about 5-6 failed attempts and the last few times I've done it the wings have been amazing.

Anyone else have any buffalo wing recipes or any recipes they make up before the big game.

Hey man, practice makes perfect, and your recipe seems like a good one.

Do you deep fry the wings? Deep frying them takes it to a whole 'notha level....I fry my wings, turkey's, and sometimes catfish in one of the propane powered Bayou Classic setups.....

Wings are probably my favorite food evar

This year I'm going to do a taco bar. And for dessert, chocolate cupcakes with bacon sprinkles.

Doing mini cheesesteaks, wings and BBQ chicken cornbread cups. I'm fasting on Saturday to accomodate the splurge.

Almost forgot the most important part of it all. Have a fresh case just picked up. Although now thinking about it chili may be more fun to make up for the big game rather then just getting pizza.

I haven't deep fried them yet, Usually let them broil for about 5 minutes then but the oven to about 400 for another 15-25 minutes. I did just get a small fryer though which i've used to make homemade french fries which has been fun so maybe ill try it out see how that goes but it couldn't cook more then 5 at a time, maybe even less.

Me too, first time my girlfriend will be trying this out. Mini cornbread muffins with the middle scooped out and then filled with shredded BBQ chicken.

Chicken gumbo maid-rites (or Sloppy Joe's). A slightly tastier version than the regular recipe most of us are familiar with. Nothing too fancy. Used to have beef stew every SB Sunday but got kinda tired of it.

1/2 order out and 1/2 cook (still needs some refining but this is what we have so far on the menu)

ordered:

tray of sloppy joe sandwiches (richards deli): corn beef, ham, turkey, swiss cheese, cole slaw, and french dressing on three pieces of rye bread (these things are HUGE)

tray of bufaloe wings (hot) and tray of bbq ribs (jacks rib and ale)

cook:

spicy chilli
nacho's topped with chicken and skirt steak
asian pot stickers with 5 different dipping sauces
fried italian meatballs
homemade potatoe salad
homemade baked beans
homemade piazza

included a few photos of the sloppy joe's, piazza and meatballs from our normal sundays Giants football game get togethers during the regular season...bon appetit
