Default Any HD DVD owners on this forum?

Well I was one who bought into HD DVD early on and they up and quit on its user base. I am still happy with my purchase and still buy discs when I can get them for good prices (sometimes now i can get them less than dvd's) Hell I am still a proud owner of Laserdisc and still love it.

Well to my main question.
I was sent 25 discs from Toshiba 5 separate shipments of 5 (no idea why so many, should have only been 2 shipments from my 2 players) well I didn't have 13 of them and i gave a few to my brother in law who also picked up a player and needed them as for the rest i stuck on ebay. well 1 of the shipments came today and i needed 2 so i stuck the other 3 on e-bay and just thought that i would let a fellow board member get them at a better price if they want.

The HD DVD's are
Aeon Flux, The Last Samurai and Knocked Up. These only play in HD DVD players.

I figure if a board member wants them I would do $25 shipped for all 3. I figured I have them on the bay with BIN at $8.99 each but lower bid prices all the others i sold went for $9-$10 each so i figured i would do them differently. If anyone is interested let me know soon before they are gone and I will cancel the auction for you.

I just finally went Blu and bought a PS3. I was a little dissappointed that my 52" Vizio only plays in 1080i but it is still pretty awesome to watch the more vivid movies.
The thing that I am really excited about is the fact that for an extra $1 a month I can get Blu Ray movies from my netflix account. The movies cost a ton to buy new but to rent 10 or so a month for $18 is pretty sweet.

Ps3 owner here waiting for this Holiday season to watch as Blu gets cheaper---
Not happy about Netflix just sending an email saying that they are now charging another $1 for Blu_ray without any notice

Is this $1 per rental or just an extra $1 per month? Thought about starting my account again but not if they are going to charge an extra $1 per blu-ray rental.

2 things about HD DVDs...You can still play these on normal DVD players (so anyone can have these)

2---don't buy a Blue Ray DVD player...buy a PS3

PS3 can update its firmware the DVD player alone cannot. So when the DVDs get more and more information and better technology you can update with your PS3!!

Not to be the wise-ass but you cannot play HDDVD's on a regular DVD player unless the HDDVD disc has both formats on it. Meaning one side is an HDDVD and the other side is a regular DVD. Some HDDVD discs are HDDVD only and this confuses many consumers. NOt trying to be a wise-ass, just trying to be informative.

You are absolutely correct about bluray though. I have both and love my PS3 compared to my Toshiba HDDVD player.
