Default Anyone know anything about old radios?

Have an old Zenith G730W (circa 1955) that is in good shape -- these things worth anything? or am I better off chucking it in the garbage?

Did you search ebay for past sales of them? My dad had an old GE clock radio that was worth some money, so yours might be too. If ebay search fails look for an antique shop in your area and see what they say about it.

Does it look like this one?

Finally snagged a Zenith tube radio - AudioKarma.org Home Audio Stereo Discussion Forums

Looks like the guy paid just under $7 for it. So I guess it really isn't worth much.

That would be the one.

I *never* find the antiques worth $1000 lying around

Haha, aint that the truth lol. If you have an antique shop local to you, I might still consider taking it there and getting whatever you can for it. Better that than throwing it away.

I still might throw it on ebay for $9.99 and see what happens.
