Default Abbreviation help

Call me stupid...But when people use those abbreviation things in their posts...I don't understand them....Is there a dictionary for them or Typing Abbreviations For Dummies book I can buy. Like lmao...What does it mean???...I have figured out IMO is in my opinion....But anyone have a place where I can learn them...Or maybe everyone can just spell out what they are saying.

LOL (you know I had to start that way.....Laugh out Loud). We have had this discussion many times. People have thought this board for some odd reason is a text message/email place. Hopefully after the last discussion you will see the abbriviations deminish over time. And just so you dont die wondering what it means....lmao (laughing my ass off). Hope this helps you out.

Now it makes sense....I have thought of probably every possibility for that abbreviation except that one...And well nothing ever made sense.

I can't stand the abbreviations. There are a few that are o'kay but on the whole people need to spell out what they want to say. I think that we all have full keyboards and are at our computers when we are posting on here not on our cell phones.

I can take the following but that is about it:
LCS - Local Card Shop
IMHO - In my honest opinion
LMAO - Laugh my ass off (or LMFAO)

I try not to use them anymore. I picked them up back in the late 90's when I use to use to have AOL and talked to all my friends on Instant Messenger (IM).

This is a list of one I frequently use, and you are more than welcome to call me on them if it bothers you that much.

U = you
b/c = because
IMO = in my opinion
