Ok I get an email today for the first time every from Upper Deck Direct offering me a case of 08/09 FLEER BASKETBALL for $651.49. I am not interested, but since when did UD start sending emails to folks for buying direct from them on new stuff?

I got one too, but you have to have a business to business account, so unless you have a hobby shop, the email is useless. Seems to be a marketing ploy to me

here is what they said in their second message:

Dear Collectors,
It has been brought to our attention that some of you may have accidentally received our emailed solicitation that went out to our hobby shops for 2008/09 NBA Fleer. Please be assured that we have not changed our policy and still only offer direct accounts to brick and mortar hobby shops. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
