Speaking of Norcal..

I was up in San Francisco for 4 days last week, and went to the best local card shop I've ever been to in my life. Their prices were so damn low for a hobby shop that I ended up buying too many boxes that I was in for.

(plus the owner gave me free sleeves and top loaders)

It was Peninsula Sports Cards on El Camino Real.

*Either that or the card shops here in LA are just the worst in the states...*

For those in Sacramento or near by.. there is a card show scheduled for Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights next weekend Nov8.

i might go. i went to one earlier this year and they had a good number of tables and wax sellers.... but im probably going for chargers stuff and possibly memorabilia.

i dont think so. i dont think its THAT big of a show. they weren't here last time but i'll see if i could confirm.

I grew up in NY but went and lived in Novato in 1975 for a year and really enjoyed the area. My older sister lives on a boat in Sausalito for the last 30 years.

I got married in 1990 but in 1989 I was working on my fiance about how great it would be to live in Northern California after we were married. She's a local NY girl but I thought I had a shot.

Well we watched the '89 World Series together and all hope of moving was dashed by the earthquake. My sister didn't even feel the boat rock but with the Bay Bridge breaking and fires, etc. it was a hard sell. Now with kids and in-laws to care for I have to stick to visiting my sister every few years.
