So my baseball game today was cancelled because the other team didnt show up, so we decided to stay and practice on the field. About an hour into practice, my girlfriends mom spotted Yunel Escobar out by the bleachers on another field. I was surprised that another MLB players was at our park (last week Orlando Hernandez was there watching our game). Being a huge Braves fan, I of course jumped at the opportunity to go and take my picture with him. I had talked to him once before during a pregame this past season, and he even game me the ball he had been warming up with. I was pretty sure that he wouldnt blow me off or anything. So anyway, i went up to him, got my picture, and we started talking. Eventually, he came down to the field my team was on and started watching our practice. By that point i didnt even want to practice anymore, so i stayed in the dugout talking with him. I asked him if he wanted to throw with me, and i was surprised that he said yes

I lent him my glove, and we threw roughly for 10 minutes. He eventually signed a couple of autographs and took pictures with the rest of the people on my team. This was one of the best days ive ever had, and its one that i will never forget

I wouldve never thought id get to meet one of my favorite braves players, let alone play catch with him.
