My wife and I have a new addition to our family. Our daughter was born in October. Every year I buy my son a factory set of Topps as a Christmas present. I was trying to figure out if there was something comparable to that for a girl. I also will get both of them proof sets from the mint.
Second part to this is what percentage do you think your Holiday shopping budget will be cut this year. I know that we are trying to cut ours by around 20% if possible. My son already has so much stuff around the house we can't fit anymore! That is what makes cards so easy. They take up less space than most toys. |

I'm hoping my G/F and I will cut our budget some this year but only because we'd like to try and buy a house sometime in the next 6 months.
Plus, I think it is about time I got her a ring so I have that expense coming up as well. __________________ checkoutmycards.com/users/0023 |

Growing up my mom always got my sister a holiday barbie. I know some of them from the 80's are worth some jack now. I wish they would have bought me barbies instead of the millions of worthless 80's-90's baseball cards and sets!!!

Or set her up with a music box collection. My mom bought my sister both holiday Barbies and music boxes, all of which (or most anyways) have increased significantly in value.

Presumeing your not wanting to get your daughter into cards, the music boxes are a neat idea, but the holiday barbies tend to work in my family as well (granted my grandmother used to own a doll shop so that doesnt help), but teddy bears are also highly collectible.

Sounds like the Holiday Barbie will be the way to go. It is an annual thing that will probably be made for a long time. I will just have to get two of them so that way she can play with one and keep one unopened. I know that is what I have to do with my son with cards. He wants to open up the factory sets so I need to get him other cards so he an open those.
