I have several questions. I use to sell cars before I went into Parts and became a team leader. Ive helped a friend get out of a bad deal with a shady dealership in the past. However, I'm no lawyer and can't help you there.
Agree, send a msg to KMD

call WTAJ and ask for the free advice lawyer......... see what they have to say. or contact the State Attorney General and try to file a fraud report........... it can't hurt, and you might be directed to an attorney who will offer free advice.
if you were truthful on any forms you filled out, i don't think you have much to worry about.

Whats the problem???? Was your loan rejected? If the bank backs out usually that autimatically should break the deal. Its the dealerships job to find a bank to finance the auto loan.......unless you got an auto loan from your bank. Otherwise the deal should be void.
When my g/f bought her car she was approved for a loan at 14.99%(which is bad, but she had horrible credit). A few days later the dealership called her and told her the bank denied the loan and they found another bank to finance her..............at 19.99%(which is even worse). She didn't tell me anything until after she had gotten back from the dealership. I told her that her rate was way too high and that she should take the car back. She then told me that the salesman had her sign a paper saying it was ok to for the rate increase. Good thing the loan isn't in my name.........stupid girls. Sorry for the rant.

The real question is do you want the vehicle or not? I was a Director of Finance at a large Chicagoland Dealership for almost 14 years. If you don't want the vehicle then take it back and if you traded in a vehicle (or put money down) ask for it back. Most dealers have you sign a Rider when you buy the vehicle that states if any of the banks can't get you financed that they can atempt to resign you on a new contract or they will take the vehicle back. That way if the bank doesn't aprove the loan, they are not stuck financing the vehicle on their own. Obviously dealerships sell the vehicles (they find banks to finance them) I'm not quite sure what your question is, so if you can eloborate maybe I can shed some more light on it. Remember each states laws are different. I can tell you Illinois & Wisconsin, but PA may be different. Thanks. Rob
BTW, did you fill out all of the information (ie credit aplication, forms) or did you sign them blank? Ask for a copy of the credit statment and see if they changed any of the info. If they did you more than likely have a fraud cases against them. If they are requesting more money down and/or higher rate it's because they couldn't find a bank to finance you. In that case check your own Bank or Credit Union. Check with any lending institution that you have an established relationship with for the loan., Maybe they can help you out with better terms that the dealership has found for you.

If he put down 52 weeks, then how did they (the bank) find out you work 42 weeks a year?
Or, is this what the dealership told you. Why do you owe them 2,000, because they (the bank or the dealership) said so? Don't give them any cash...2,000 is nothing when it comes to debt...and I really think this is a bogus debt. Of course I'm know lawyer but this sounds to shady
