The Punisher is one bad ......

Guys, I just got back from seeing the Punisher, and this is coming from someone who has read the comic for a while. This movie gets it. Big time. The movie holds no punches. Frank Castle is one mean dude. If you're a bit squeemish, don't go because it's incredibly violent. Like Ultra-Violent. Anyone else see it?

I thought it rocked.

I refuse to see it. I understand it's a "remake" and all that, but I cant STAND when movies establish a character with a certain actor, then change it.

It's not a remake at all. It's a totally new story, following the Marvel Knights character.

Thomas Jane said that he diddn't believe in the script and thats why he wasn't in this one. This new guy is more Punisher looking than pretty boy thomas Jane(last name doesn't help either).....lol. Jane did play him well though I thought. I can't wait until Superman: Man of Steel comes out. Even though there is a fruity actor playing the part of Superman.

As much as I like Thomas Jane, he wasn't as good as this guy IMHO.

Did you see Superman Returns??? Brandon Routh played the part very well, it was a great return to the Superman series and had a feel of Superman and Superman 2. I think your fruity actor comment was ignorant.

I liked Superman Returns, even though it felt a lot like the original Superman, and I had a problem with him carrying that entire piece of land smothered with Kryptonite. That seemed a bit off, but other than that, very good Superman movie, I'm hoping the 2nd one is even better.

Its still the 3rd Punisher they make, with a 3rd actor. The 1st two versions had total different ways that his family was killed, i dont know about this one. I did like the way Thomas Jane played the part, and he put a lot of training into that role. They show it on Fx all the time.

I can usually get away with seeing the art films for like $4 at a nice theater since they charge less for art films. I was thinking of Gran Torino also even if it's supposed to be a weaker film of Eastwoods, still supposed to be good.

Im looking forward to the Watchmen in IMAX

Having read the comics and a fan of the series, I hope the movie does it justice. It's looking pretty good so far from Trailers though.

Thomas Jane is the punisher in my mind. I thought he was EXCELLENT in that movie. I just get pissed everytime this preview comes on and it isnt him, lol.

I didn't mean it the way you think I meant it. I loved the movie. I just didn't like how he tried to portray Christopher Reeve. I think he tried to hard to emmulate him.

Just saw the trailor for the Watchmen...looked amazing

To think what that director did with a warehouse and about 40 actors for 300, Geesh! Give that guy some serious dough and a nice budget, he'll make a great movie.

I'm certainly finding a babysitter on March 6th, 2009
