What's more of an outrage is that Favre is a pro-bowler....I know there's the whole respect thing, but there are a couple of AFC QB's more deserving than he is, like Schaub, Rivers, or Cassel.

Favre brought a 4-12 team to a possible division championship and a playoff birth and is one of the top TD passers in the league....minus the INT's. Who else in the AFC deserves a nod??? The better QB's are in the NFC

Dude, he's the 15th rated passer in the league. In the AFC there are 6 QB's rated higher than he is: Rivers, Schaub, Pennington, Manning(PBer), Cutler (PBer), and Cassel. I think that Rivers is the most deserving, followed by Schaub.

I wouldn't place all of the jets success on Favre, their defense has improved by leaps and bounds as well (asides from Lynch and Jackson running all over them on Sunday). Not to mention Thomas Jones is having a Hell of a season.

I'm sorry, he has just not looked PB quality to me.

I wouldnt give Schaub crap.... I have watched every game this season, and those he has actually played in, he looks like another coming of David Carr.....
His stats look so good because he has the best reciever in Football!

I am highly upset though that Demeco was passed over! Damn popularity contest!

If you base off of turning around a team, to playoff hopefull or bound, Pennington would be still a better choice than Favre

Favre shouldn't have made it just because he doesn't care enough to ever actually go to the game anyway, so it really doesn't matter as one of the more deserving guys will go in his place.

I agree Pennington would be a much better choice. His consistent play has really helped Miami. And given their lack of turnovers while driven by Pennington, is a true reflection of the coaching staff.

Calvin has 1165 yards on 65 catches, 17.9 avg , 10 TD's, YAC 6.3
Andre has 1408 yards on 103 catches, 13.7 avg ,6 TD's, YAC 3.7

Houston has 4 receivers over 40 catches, Detroit has 1(Calvin)

Schaub completes 66%, Detroit around 56%

Detroit has used 5 QB's, 4 starters

give Calvin atleast some of that and he shines

I am not taking anything away from Calvin, I think he is a great reciever, but as you say.... Houston has 4 recievers over 40 catches, Lions have 1.... Imagine Andre's number's if he were thrown the ball 3/4 of the time like Calvin!!

Not just as a Texans fan, but overall, look at his size, speed, ability, and demeanor.... He is the Barry Sanders of the WR position.... (Just hopefully the Texans can complement him with more talent before he gets fed up like Sanders did with Lions..)

I don't see why your so upset by this, they have approximately 30% of their defense going to Hawaii. Would you rather have the entire D go? Maybe they're number one because they have 3 outstanding players and that lead the collective unit. There are also a lot of deserving players on other teams.

Or you could be in my situation, having only one player go from your favorite team who totally doesn't deserve the honor.

I know the game doesn't mean much, its more of the deserving of the honor that gets me.

Isn't he thrown to way more than Calvin now? With 100 catches versus 65, I'd like to think that Calvin didn't drop that many.

Yeah that's what Im talking about. Since Calvin is all alone he gets double teamed more often. It helps to have more receivers.

Fair enough, I think that he's deserving as well. Just sounded like you wanted the entire D to go. Sorry if I interpreted it in a way that you did not convey.

How can you title the thread "Pro Bowl Roster!" and then not list it? I thought it was in here, and now I have to go over to Espn. Wah!

For anyone else who needs to know who made it, here's the ESPN Linkage

Nice to see Justin Tuck make it!!!
