I'm within driving distance of at least 4 refineries and the cheapest gas I can find is at Costco and it's almost 4 bucks a gallon now.

103 dollars to fill up my navigator. the tank is 28 gallons and it took 26 gallons at just under 4 dollars per gallon

Yup. I don't know how many on here can say they were around for that (or driving at least), but I remember sometime during highschool (graduated in '98), I'm thinking like '97 probably, when gas was definitely below $1. It was weird, but good. I wondered whether that would ever happen again or remain that way as well.
I don't own a car these days and rarely drive, so I consider myself very fortunate in that sense. I feel for those that depend on driving to work hours every day that have to be at the mercy of these fluctuating prices. Really really sucks.
