My PS3 won't read any discs

Not sure but I remember this happened to my DVD Recorder. One day it all of the sudden stopped reading discs and it turned out it had a broken laser. I got it replaced free because it was under warranty. Probably the same thing with yours.

The weird thing was that it happened about 3 1/2 years after I bought it, and my warranty was for 4 years. Whew! My cousin broke his PS2 awhile ago. It wouldn't read discs so he tried spraying the inside with what he thought was compressed air. Turned out to be WD-40. Oops! That didn't help...

Laser stops reading. Mine did this 11 months into the 1 year warranty so it was covered. When my PS2 did it, it was out of warranty, but they fixed it anyways. Sony has always had good CS when I have called them on the phone.

If yours is out of waranty, PM me, there is a little loop hole around all electronics...
