I have these 2 pieces of gold jewelry I plan to put on eBay and sell. I've had them for almost 20 years now. They were gifts from my grandmother, to wear. However, I don't wear gold jewelry anymore!
![]() The necklace appears to be 'rope' style, and is marked 14k on the clasp. It is 17" long and 3mm wide. Each end near the clasp had broken during wearing and has been soldered (I know, why solder with that silver-alloy stuff! ![]() ) It weighs in at 8.17g.The bracelet apperas to be 'figaro' style. I believe it is hollow. It is 8.5" long and 5mm wide. It has the following abbreviation engraved on the clasp: "14K ITALY" on one side, and "EG" on the other. It weighs in at 5.90g. I wish I could come up with some weights, but my junk scale can only measure grams in increments of 5g ?! ![]() I was hoping for some rough estimates at value, so that I don't list too low or too high on eBay! Here are some quick pictures: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I have a strange question, but it pertains to gold...my dad recently had 2 root canals and they had to cut his filling out. Well my dads 65 and everyone old as me knows fillings were done with gold back in the day. My question is: he gave the fillings to me...I know, gross!! But has anyone tried selling/pawning these?? How much would a filling bring?? I can use an extra $50+ nowadays!!!

the 1st piece is a nice piece of eterna gold it is a company that is based out of Florida and claims to have stronger longer lasting gold then others. the second piece the necklace i am kinda concerned about. the diamond shape around the 14k logo it one of the most commonly used hallmarks in fake gold. did you have these both tested already professionally? when it comes to price right now its all about scrap/melt value. with the price of gold being so high 99% of the time when people are buying they are buying at melt value the actual design of the jewelery doesnt come in to play no longer when these types of prices are realized. so it pretty much will all come down to what they weigh. i have been dealing in gold bullion for over 15 years now.

Just estimate the weight to the closet 5 grams to give you an idea, and go here for the troy ounce conversion:
Grams to Troy Ounces (g to troy ounces) converter Then go here and put in 14k with the troy ounce weight to get it's spot value: Scrap Gold Weight Conversion and Melt Value Calculator BTW, I buy junk gold and silver, so if you're interested in a quick sale, we might able to work something out.

Guys, thanks for all the info! Very informative! Especially both chips! & thanks for the links!
I purchased a small, cheapy scale online to get a quick weight on these. I'm fairly certain that both pieces were purchased on QVC, which is where my grandmother frequently purchased jewelry. This would make sense for the Eternal piece. I believe the other piece was also purchased on QVC. I haven't brought them to be tested, where would I do that? And would there be a charge? Thanks again! |

as of today your bracelet is worth about $175 and the necklace about $240. those prices will go up or down depending on the value of gold by end of day trade. but did you get that necklace tested correctly cause it really doesnt look right to me
