I'd rather be on the Hamels end of the deal, but its reasonable. Aviles is going to get dropped because he sucks monkey testicles so this is really Hamels and Chapman for Bruce and Doubront. Bruce is the most valuable of the pieces and Chapman and Doubront are still relatively untested pitchers, so the question becomes what do you need more, the best pitcher in baseball or one of the best bats?

I take Hamels, but if he needs offense I can see making the deal.

the person in question that would receive aviles can actually use the player since Pedroia is his 2B and just went back on the DL. either way, i thought it was even- but the rest of the league thinks it is collusion.

Depends on league settings always!! You gave no info on the style. In my main league on CBS for example, it is a H2H points league. No categories, and hitters ~ pitchers, so whoever would get Hamels and Chapman would be destroying the other side. In a roto league, it's much closer. Give league details people!!!
