I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed. It was a good movie, but not epic. People are always going to compare it to the second one, and no movie will come that close due to the insane Joker performance. Ledger made that movie what it is.

no spoilers until next week, but first reaction is that it met all my expectations. i keep wanting it to top the last movie and for me, i think this one is on par with that one, maybe a slight notch below. the ending was one of the most satisfying ends to a movie in a long time. i can see how some might be disappointed, but i surely wasn't. if i were WB and DC, i'd give Christopher Nolan whatever amount of money he wanted to do more, but i'm fine with this being his final take if that's the case.

as for the performances, I thought Hardy was good, not great as Bane. Anne Hathaway was a good Catwoman, but I wish she was featured a little more. and Joseph Gordon-Levitt continues to deliver (not including his GI Joe performance). i'm even more excited to see him in Looper now.

Just got back from an early afternoon showing and I might be one of the only ones but I didn't like the ending. It did meet all my expectations and was a great movie BUT The Dark Knight was better and this one was below The Avengers and above The Amazing Spiderman.....can't wait for The Man of Steel!!!!

I thought it was great and a fitting end to the Trilogy BUT I still think that #2 was the best.

My only complaint was that some of Bane's dialogue was a little tough to understand but Tom Hardy nailed it. Great job.

Was at the midnight showing, thought it was a great ending to the trilogy. I wanted a little more catwoman (for obvious reasons).

Bane is one bad dude, the two fight scenes with he and batman were epic.

Am I the only one that heard what sounded like a terrible Sean Connery impression whenever Bane spoke?

I saw it first thing this morning in IMAX about 8 hours ago. Just now getting a chance to say how it was. It was really good. Alot of story. Alot of references to the first film and almost no references to the second one except for Dent of course. I was not expecting much from Anne Hathaway or Bane's character but I enjoyed both alot better than I expected to.

I also wish there was a bit more Catwoman in the film. Even though Hathaway seemed like she was an odd choice when I found out she'd be in the moive, I learned long ago that I should never doubt Nolan's casting choices. She looked damn good Bane was quite the force to be reckoned with for sure and his intro was well done; however, it still wasn't as bad ass as the Joker's. JGL was great as usual, and I love the judge cameo. I didn't see that one coming for sure. In the end, I think it was a good way to end the trilogy so that they could move in another direction if they want to.

I thought this too. The theater had the volume waaaaaaay up so it almost echoed and it made it harder to understand.

Really? When that scene started I thought to myself, 'You know, it would be funny if _____ was the judge" and I guessed right.

Really, I didn't. You know if Ledger was still alive, he would had been the judge in that scene without a doubt. Judge Joker would had been awesome!

Just got back. I have to say I was dissapointed.

It wasn't a bad film at all, it was very good. But anything less than epic is, IMO, a dissapointment. I didn't go in hoping to see a solid film, no, I went to see an extraordinary film, and I didn't get that.

Oh well, good way to end the series. Wasn't too big a fan of that "Bat" as Lucius Fox referred to it, and didn't really like the ending (didn't see it coming, but I didn't really like it), but overall it was alright.

Do you think the Joker should have a cameo? His name wasn't mentioned. There was only 1 connection between tdk and tdkr.

I've seen the second and now the third, so I didn't understand (or recognize) any of the references to the first movie.

However, the movie was great in all.

Haha, I could see that. The mask definitely didn't do anything but muffle his dialogue...I was waiting for him to fart or something since he sounded constipated in some of the scenes. Overall though, I just couldn't take the voice seriously, but Hardy did a solid job as Bane. No where near Ledger's performance though.

We were wondering about this also. It was 3 AM when the movie ended so we really had no energy to stay longer.

I hear there may have been a trailor for a future movie, but that was from some guy on youtube that I don't know.

How dare you spew blasphemy against Edward Thomas Hardy, the greatest actor of the past decade. He could sleepwalk any role Ledger has ever played and still do it better than him.

Hell Mr. Angelina Jolie and that boring guy who was so bad in the Hulk that they had to reboot the franchise after 1film...he couldve played a better Joker! ha i laugh at you stupid lemmings and trolls

And..end scene...figured id already post it out there since im sure someone who will remain nameless will post some sort of drivel of such.
