Default Do you personally know any famous people?

I'm not asking for cases in which you met a ballplayer one time, but other cases, like for instance, going to highschool with someone who is now famous.

Example:
Why You Don't Post Your Picture Of Mila Kunis In Your High School Yearbook To An Internet Forum

Every year I play in a golf tournament in northern NY with a bunch of friends and other local players and one of the guys that play in it was featured on an episode of Stan Lee's Superhumans as The Human Calculator. He's pretty anal retentive on the golf course but his brother is pretty laid back.

No one will know them here but I personally know a Pulitzer prize winner for music composition (2011), and another, his wife, who won the Charles Ives prize for composers which was $100,000.

THAT is a power couple.

Met Jerry Stiller at NYU Hospital 5 years ago. He walked in and asked me a question and we just talked for an hour before I had my thing done. He was there to see the same Dr, same procedure, was a cool coincidence. We both had to overnight and I was able to sit with him for some time. I was able to write him for the holidays and we have continued our pen pal type communications going since then. Real nice gentleman, was just like hanging out with someone at a tavern.

His name is Zhou Long and he won the Pulitzer for his fairy-tale opera based on Chinese mythology, Madame White Snake.

His wife if Chen Yi... her music is a little more accessible...

Both should be easily found on youtube.

BTW, in their graduating class at the Conservatory of Music in Beijing was Tan Dun, the composer for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

I liked some of his wife's stuff I just heard. It was dark, and kinda creepy sounding.

About six years ago when I was handling Supplier Diversity for my company I got the chance to know Willie Lanier (Chiefs HOF Linebacker). I have had dinner with Wiilie a couple of times and spent a lot of time working with him in meetings. He is a great guy that has built some nice businesses since he retired from the NFL. He did not get rich from the NFL so he realized early on the importance of an education and a career.

David Dahl (drafted 10th this year by the Rockies) went to my old High School. I was also a bat boy for the Birmingham Barons, so I got to know Addison Reed and some others who aren't in the show yet pretty well.

I know famous people, but not REAL famous people or household names. Mostly in the electronic gaming industry, but have met my share of really famous people having worked in the industry for a long time.

my family knows Kasey Kahne as he raced for us before he was a big name. I have met him a few times, but he sees my dad all of the time
