Game of Thrones

Anyone a fan of this series. This includes both the books and the TV series. I am almost near the end of Storm of Swords and this series is action packed.

The show is great. My wife is reading the books which she say are fantastic.

Great show.....but I do have a small complaint:

Sometimes there's too much "Fanservice".

Some of the sex/nude scenes are completely unnecessary.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm NOT the type of person that gets bothered by this, but sometimes it's just excessive.

If I wanted to watch porn, I'll watch porn.....

For example, the lesbian scene from Season 1, Episode 7 was fantastic....but c'mon, do we really need a 5 minute softcore lesbian scene on a drama show???

LOL, I'm sure most guys would say YES, YES WE DO!

But my point is that, it get's excessive sometimes....

It does, but I think they all help in some degree. For instance, if I'm thinking of the right scene, portrays a few things...one that he has two naked women in front of him, doing exactly what they're told but isn't interested all, still digs the red head.

Absolutely love the show. Don't have HBO, so I am waiting for the second season to come out on DVD to find out what happens, but the first season is absolutely awesome.

I do agree with some of the folks above, though. I really don't think we need all of the sex scenes. Some of them add to the show, but some are absolutely unnecessary.

I haven't read the books because I know that if I do, I'll want to keep reading them until I finish them all!

I'm going to be patient and wait for Season 3, I seriously can't wait to see more.

The Second season was just as awesome, it really is a masterpiece of a show.

This! The show has nothing on the explicit content of the book.

The second season is not as sex filled as the first.

I don't think it's as bad as Spartacus, though it did keep me interested on the slow parts

i dislike how a few things are changed from book to show. and they are stupid things to change that don't have any bearing on the series... namely, most of her stay in Quarth was changed.

Books. And I probably will never watch the show because shows and movies based on books always suck in comparison.

I would give this a try man. HBO did a phenomenal job with this. Worth watching in my opinion. You have to think, they have 10 hours or so per book instead of a 3 hour movie.

I'm about 1/3 of the way through Book 5 (Dance with Dragons). I am very pleased how he writes the books. Season 3 should be action packed and people are going to crap their pants when they see what is going to happen.

i think it was book 4 that was not very good (for me personally). otherwise, loved the books.

Just finished Dance with Dragons finally. I am very excited to see where he goes with the story. Lots of cliffhangers at the end.

Yes, write faster. I'm still waiting for the last 'Wheel of Time' book and that series started in the early 90's (granted, Robert Jordan passed away but left enough notes to wrap things up, the last two books, written from those notes have been far superior to the last 5-6 that Jordan wrote)...Also waiting for the sequel to The Way of Kings.
