Yikes. I don't know how people can name their daughters Bertha. That has to be one of the worst names to grow up with. I had a friend in high school named Bertha that was smoking hot, but she went by just B.

Bertha is, for me, a FAT woman name, like Inga, Olga, Irma, Edna... Bertha makes me think of the place a large ship docks... it's berth.

I feel a "Worst Female Names" thread starting. I agree with Olga and Inga (For some reason I remember the Wonder Years....wasn't there a foreign exchange student named Inga????)

Gertrude and Agnes are other names that come to mind.

How the hell did I miss that? I think I was stuck on Olga. Good god that is a horrible name. Another name I don't like at all is Fatima. Any gal with fat in her name is screwed. Still the worst name I ever came across was while I was teaching. I had a student named Lesbiana.

Well, when you are a 26 year old teacher and the gals range in age from 18 to 80, it's all good Funny thing you mentioned America because I had one of those as a student, too.
