Default Favorite Late Night Show?

Surprised this thread hasn't been made yet! Pretty simple question. Which late night TV show is your favorite?

I'll only put the ones on the major networks (CBS, NBC, ABC), since there are SOOO many others on cable.

I will put Conan up as well, since it is one of the most popular shows on late night.

I'll start. My fave is the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

Letterman back in the day was so darn funny. He hasn't cared for years, and who can blame him. I don't really watch any late night shows anymore, but Kimmel is good. I hated Fallon, thought he was an unfunny asshat for years, but his show is actually decent.

Letterman has really gotten stale as of late. It seems like all he does is make fun of Leno now, which has it's moments, but has also gotten stale.

Fallon alone still isn't funny IMO, but with Steve Higgins and The Roots as his assistants of sorts his show has become watchable. There are still some bits that, when they come on, make me throw up in my mouth (see Pros and Cons, the one where he reads minds), but then again there are some that are quite funny and original (see Thank You Notes, Late Night Hashtags, Cupid's Arrow). I really don't mind it. He is a great impressionist, as is Higgins, and a decent musician by television standards.

I enjoy the show.

Since I never get to see Conan any more, I have to go with Ferguson. That is some good night owl t.v.

What I love about Ferguson is he's not afraid to be different. I still enjoy Leno every once in awhile but Ferguson is the one I watch whenever I can.

And he's moving out of CBS' "basement" in a week or so too!

I've been a part of Jay Leno's audience, got to be one of those people that crowd him at the begging of his show lol, the show sucked tho, it was boring.

Also was a part of George Lopez audience but he isn't around anymore.

Conan is my favorite but yet have been part of the audience... One day, one day.

Letterman circa. 1997 and before. I haven't watched, maybe 15 minutes of a show once per year, any latenight shows in the past 10-15 years.

Letterman got screwed when Leno came into the picture. Leno always sucked.

Letterman tries to be wayyyy too PC these days. I miss it when he used to make fun of authority, not kiss up to it. Might as well watch Colbert, which I do, at least you know it political satire...

American chat shows waste too much time with gags and stupid skits and then spend 5 minutes with the guests. Once the wife and I started watching shows like Graham Norton (BBC America) , we can't stand any of the above. Norton spends the entire show talking to the guests and it is hilarious and interesting.

Leno- headlines and police blotter crack me up. I even made it on headlines once when I sent one in.

Craig Ferguson is hit or miss I have seen a few episodes where I do not laugh once and then I have seen other ones when I crack up.

I also watched Lopez tonight when it was on.

Fallon has grown by leaps and bounds for sure. The Roots are by far the best late night band on t.v. The big question I have so far is will anybody seriously vote for Carson Daly's show? That is one of the biggest pieces o' crap ever.

Meh, I figured I'd put it up since technically it is a late night chat show on a major network.

I agree, though. The show is absolutely awful. I've yet to see Carson Daly say or do anything remotely funny or entertaining.

Kimmel and it's not even close. This Week in Unnecessary Censhorship is the best segment on TV right now.

It's not even really a talk show anymore. I guess he just goes around the country interviewing random celebs (mostly lacking big names like you see on the other shows) in random places.

I love Fallon. Definitely my favorite, especially with the Roots and the way that celebs really seem to gel with him. I mean all good late night hosts can get along with their guests, but Jimmy gets guests real comfortable and I think that's cool.

Second favorite would be Craig or Conan.
