I'm not an expert at this stuff...but that is one of the worse fakes I have ever seen.

Federal investigation in Utah takes down counterfeit jersey websites | ProFootballTalk

Anyone who thinks the Feds arent watching is insane. Showing up at someones residence over a paltry $1,000. These things get checked at customs and they eventually get mailing lists and orders of everyone involved. They are cracking down on this stuff and I personally wouldnt want my name attached to it.

I'm about to say something a bit controversial but just hear me out....

Nike, Adidas, Reebok, and any other major corporation make all of their products in China, Taiwan, and other other countries outside the U.S so they can maximize their profits.

In these countries they do not care who makes their products (adult or child) and what type of conditions are used to make said products.

They then sell it to us for an absurd amount because they know that sport fans are willing to spend high dollar on this merchandise.

Meanwhile you have some Chinese companies (or individuals) that do the EXACT or NEAR exact same product (made with the same labor force and the same practices as Nike, Adidas, etc) but since they don't use a middleman (nor are they licensed) they sell you a ridiculous $120 jersey for $25.

Is this a bad thing?

+1 this needed to be said. The workers actually make more money doing this than working for Nike directly.

You can be just as big of a fan wearing a team shirt as some guy wearing Joe Shmo's jersey.

I think Jim Rome makes this argument as well, and it's pretty funny.

Personally, I don't buy too many jerseys because the fact is that they're not very comfortable to wear, nor are they practical.

Sure, you can wear them to the game, but not much else, and paying $100+ for an item of clothing that you will RARELY wear is almost a luxury.

Having said all of that, I don't really have a problem with a grown man wearing another man's jersey.

Although, I will say I prefer to buy regular shirts with only the team's name on it.

Jerseys are a very cool collectible but for a 35+ year old man to wear jerseys on a regular basis is strange.

Yes, I definitely agree about the collectible aspect on jerseys.

As for wearing them, it's like I said, they're not very practical.

You can wear them to the game and that's about it.
